A Big Thank You for a Big Favor

Back in April I posted some pictures of a Hello Kitty tea party that my friend and I attended in honor of Girls' Day.  If you recall my friend Sandy did me a huge favor by making me a super cute scarf with the material that I brought.  To refresh your memory here is a picture of Sandy and I with the scarf that she made for me.

She said that it was not necessary to make her a "thank you" card, but I wanted to anyway.  It meant so much to me for her to take time out of her busy schedule to do such a big favor for me that I wanted to make her a special card and surprise her with a gift.    I made this card for her, got her some licorice in the flavor of her favorite soda,

and surprised her some products to add to her sewing collection.

Sandy was very surprised with what I surprised her with.  Thanks for coming by to see what I have to share today.  God bless!

Bling It On, Anything Goes Card, and Up For 21 Hours

I hope that all of you are having a fab Memorial Day weekend.  Before I share a little about mine I am going to share some crafty creations from two different swaps.  For the tea swap one of the recent optional themes was "Bling It On."  This is the card that I made for Jayne.

Jayne made a cute double side pocket for me and filled them with HK products.

Here is how the other side of the pocket looks.  She also made me decorated a little bag for me and put tea bags inside.

In addition to being my tea swap partner Jayne was also my secret sister.  Check out the awesome card (The theme for the swap was "anything goes.")

and cute HK products she sent to me.

It felt like it was Christmas again with all the fabulous and thoughtful items that she sent to me.
Thank you so much again Jayne for being such an awesome tea swap partner.   Okay, now onto some pictures about my Memorial Day.  It started with my hubby and I attending the 24 hours event at Disneyland for their 60th Anniversary.  We stayed a total of 21 hours.  It was crazy busy there but we had a very memorable time.  Here is a fun picture of us.

Besides having fun hanging out with each other we also had fun shopping (Here is a picture of two of my favorite products that we purchased.),

sitting on rides, meeting up with friends, and of course eating ono food.  Here a picture of the dessert that we had- a smore's bar.  This was one of the exclusive foods that they had for the event.

Saturday we slept for most of the day and then ran errands.  Today we ran errands and just relaxed after church.  My family and I look forward to having the day off tomorrow and look forward to spending some time together.  I hope that all of you will have a wonderful day off and will take some time to honor and thank the Lord for all those that have served our country and that are currently serving our country.  May God bless them all and their families!

Handmade Gifts and Cards From the Heart

It was such a blessing and so much fun last month getting to spend time with good friends and enjoying some ono food as I celebrated my b-day. Wish I could have flown in my long distance good friends to celebrate but I know that they were with me in spirit as I was celebrating. Last month I shared some of the good food that I enjoyed but I did not post any of the crafty gifts and cards that I received.  I was very touched by each of the thoughtful cards and gifts that I received.  So that this post is not a mile long I will post only the handmade ones.  Sandy made this HI print purse for me.  She is the one that helped me sew the Hello Kitty scarf a few months ago.

Another friend named Sandy made bulletin board for me with coordinating jars and supplies in my favorite color in each one.

She also decorated a notepad and a case of paperclips for me.

Lorraine made filled this jar up with lots of fun crafty products and decorated the top for me.

These are the fun and creative cards I received.

A card from Nancy and one from Fran.

A card from Karen and one from Gail.  (The tag that Gail made opens up into a card.)

Esther made a super cute envelope with HK DSP for the purple card that she made.  She also made a smaller envelope for a HK book.

A card from Roberta.

A card from Sandy and one from Cary.

Besides receiving the above handmade gifts and cards I also received some other crafty products that I gladly add to my collection- several dies, a duffle bag to hold my craft supplies, stamps, glitter makers, the perfect positioner (It's a mat that I use with my Big Shot to hold dies in place.), and a hot and cold desk size laminator.  My hubby and kids got me the new Big Shot Plus and a purse.  Aside from crafty products I received gift cards, a battery operated fountain, and money/checks.  Have a blessed and crafting weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

In Honor of Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day out there to all the ladies that are mothers or are special "mother figure" to the people that God has placed in your lives.  A special prayer is being said for each you for God to give you wisdom, love, patience and all that you need from above to continue to make a difference in the lives of all the people that you have been blest with. For Mother's Day today we are taking my mother out to lunch and will be taking my MIL out to dinner.  Yes, lots of eating.  :)  I celebrated with my hubby and kids yesterday with a fun filled afternoon together at the National Japanese Museum,

Café Dulce with enjoying a cup of Jasmine Tea Latte and Brick Toast,

and dinner at Poke N Role.

For those of you who know we well and have followed my blog for awhile you know that I like to make tags for my gifts for different holidays.  With the holidays being so busy making tags is much faster than making gifts and cards.  This is the tag that I made for the Mother's Day to attach to the gifts that my family and I will be giving.

The flower is one of  the dies that Stephanie Bernard's designed and center stamp is from Jades Blossoms.  Before I end here's what my hubby and kids gave to me for Mother's Day.  Along with a cute HK with a kimono on and a Minnie Mouse purse from Lounge Fly they got me my favorite fruit and my favorite veggie (a jicama).

Have a blessed rest of your weekend everyone!
