A Fun Time Celebrating Two Birthdays

I am sorry that I have been missing in action again.  I have either been out and about with family and friends or have been doing paper work for work. Thankfully I have had some time to do some crafting in between to help me to relax.  By the time I have a chance to do some blogging in the evening I am feeling too tired.  Well last week my friend Carol and I went out to one of our favorite restaurants- Sesame Grill.  Both of our b-days were last month but we did not have a chance to get together until this month.  We had a great time of fellowship together while we enjoyed a delicious meal.  This is the card that I made for her.

She is a huge fan of tea so I thought it would be fun to make her a tea pot card. This is the super cute Hello Kitty card that she made for me.

Here we are about to dig in.  :)

This is a close up picture of our delicious food

and a picture of the tiramisu that the restaurant gave to us as a complimentary gift to us for our b-days.

It has been so much fun and such a blessing being able to celebrate my birthday with family and various friends for the past month or so. My lunch with Carol was the last hurrah for this year.  Thanks for stopping by to see what I have to share.

Celebrating My Birthday

I have had so much fun celebrating my b-day with family and friends.  I celebrated my b-day when it was last month with my family and one of my good friends.  This month I celebrated with friends.  Prior to celebrating with them I made party favors using a purse die from Lawn Fawn that a friend gave to me as part of my b-day present.  The flower is from the Botanical Die set from Stampin Up.  I put a coconut patty in each purse.

Last week my friends and I had an onolicious time at Ahi Poke Bowl.

Over the weekend I had an get together at my house.

My good friend Sandy did a fabulous job in decorating. My favorite is the banner that you made for me that is pictured below as well as how she decorated the stair case.

Here are two other things that she did.

We all had a good time eating (We had lunch plate with chicken katsu, cabbage, rice, and a mac salad. For dessert we had a ube overload- a taro cake.),

crafting (My good friend Roberta put together a scrapbook for everyone to embellish. She surprised me with an updated polaroid camera. I took pictures with each of my friends for them to put on their page.  All of them did a fab job.),

and enjoying each others company.  We took lots of pictures together, but this one was my favorite.  Doesn't it look like we are really in Hawaii celebrating?  :)

Before I end this post I want to share the crafty b-day cards that I received.

I feel very blessed to have the friends that God has place in my life.  All of them are truly a blessing from Him and will always have a special place in my heart.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a blessed week!

In Honor of Mother's Day

I am sorry that I have been MIA for a few a bit.  This has been a very busy month for me in all areas of my life.  Finally today I have some time to catch up on my blog.  Before I go on I want to wish all of you out there that are grandmothers, mothers, godmothers, aunts, big sisters, counselors, teachers, and mentors out there a very "Happy Mother's Day."  All of you are a great blessing to the young people that God has put in your care and you deserved to be honored today and always for how you have been a roll model.  Here are some of the tag that opens up into a card that I made for my kids' grandmothers, aunts, godmothers, and special friends in their lives

that I attached to the gift bags.

Before ending I wanted to post a picture of the ladies that God has placed in my life that I have the honor of calling mom- my own mom and my MIL.

Along lifes way God has blessed me with many ladies that have been a great blessing to me that I look up to and love like a mom. Here are two final pictures of what I enjoyed for dinner and lunch as we celebrated Mother's Day.

With all this good food I am going to have to drink shakes for the next few months.  LOL! I thank the Lord for each of  them too.  Thanks everyone for stopping by! Have a great day!
