I hope that everyone had a restful weekend and had a chance to do some crafting. I had a very well balanced weekend with doing some paperwork for work, spending time with family, running errands, and having time to craft. I love it when I have a well balanced schedule. With schedules like this I feel less tired. Today I would like to share the "thank you" cards that I finally finished making for my Christmas gifts. My store bought cards I sent out last month, but I did not get a chance to design these until last weekend and make them this week. I came up with one layout, but used different colors for the cards and snowflakes.
The snowflake is a die and the Swiss Dots die is from Stampin Up. I used a Pearl Pen to make the snowflakes look a little more fancy. I think they turned out pretty nice don't you? :) Have a blessed weekend!

Dinner With a Good Friend and Sister In the Lord
Last week a good friend and a sister in the Lord and I went out to dinner.
We went out for Japanese food. Both of us ordered the same entree, but she ordered beef and I ordered chicken.
We had a lovely time of fellowship together while we enjoyed our dinner. We wanted to order tempura ice cream for dessert, but they unfortunately ran out of the batter to make it. :( Before going our separate ways I gave her a little RAK and a card. She loves coffee and ladybugs.
I hope that all of you will have a nice weekend. Those of you who live in SoCal I hope that you will stay warm and dry. :)

My Long Weekend
It's so nice to have a long weekend and a short upcoming work week. :) I hope that all of you enjoyed your time off like I did. My weekend started off by going out to dinner to Islands with my family. We ordered our usual, but also ordered some thing new that they had on the menu- poki.
I didn't know how much I missed poki until I had it last night. On Saturday we celebrated my uncles 80th b-day which was a very memorable experience. On Sunday, we went to Disneyland for the day and went to Goofy's Kitchen at one of the Disney hotels for my daughters last 6th b-day celebration. My hubby and I usually let our kids choose a place to go to for dinner for their b-day and she chose Goofy's Kitchen. It's a buffet style menu and the different Disney characters walk around for the guests to take a picture with them. I liked the pot roast and cod fish, but my most favorite was the peanut butter and jelly pizza.
My hubby enjoyed the pot roast the best and my son liked the fried shrimp. Kylie had a blast taking pictures with the characters, but so did I. :)
Along with everything that I shared, I put together "thank you" cards for my daughter's b-day presents. (This is what I did on Monday to help me recover from my day at Disneyland.) I purchased the cute cupcake cards at Michaels and stamp Hello Kitty, colored her flower, and used a punch to put the image out. I added the scallop used to make it a little more fancy..
Thanks for stopping by. Please come again soon to check out what I have to share. :)

Fun Items Made for and at My Daugther's B-day Party
A fabulous time was had by all at my daughter's b-day party at Build A Bear. The b-day girl especially had a very good time. She is already planning to go there for her next b-day party. LOL! She built the purple rabbit and picked out a Cinderella costume for it to wear. I couldn't resist and built a Valentine's Day Hello Kitty. Here is a picture of our two new friends. :)
My hubby and I had a fun time working on everything for our daughter's friends. I made these tags to attach to the gift bags for the party favors.
For the mail boxes that we purchased at Target I put letterstickers on it for her friends names and my hubby used my Cricut to cut Hello Kitty out of vinyl. We think they turned out pretty cute.
My hubby baked the cupcakes for our daughter's friends and one of my friends from work helped put the frosting on them. I made the cupcake toppers using my Hello Kitty stamps.
It just happens that I have one with Hello Kitty on it which was perfect for her Build A Bear party. I just love it when things coordinate together. Those of you that know me well knows how much I like to color coordinate everything and make items that follow a specific theme.

Starting the New Year With Happy Mail
It was such a nice surprise to receive this super cute card from Kathy on New Years Eve.
She timed it right in mailing it to me. It arrived just in time to celebrate New Years. She colored Anya's outfit in my favorite color. Thanks again Kathy for thinking of me and for helping me start off 2013 in a crafty way.

My Time Off and Tea Swap for December
I hope that everyone is doing well. My time off from work is almost over. It has been a very fun two weeks off from work even though I have not done any crafting like I wanted to. The only crafting I did was show my cousin and her daughter how to quill a cupcake. One of the highlights of my time off was having a "date" with my hubby on New Years where we watched Les Miserables and had dinner together. The movie is awesome just like the play is. Another highlight was getting to spend time with my cousins that were visiting. Like I mentioned in my post last week we went to Disneyland together. We also went out dinner together with my family, hung out at our house and had lunch after church, and went to the Reagan Library (We all loved it. President Reagan was such an amazing man. We were there for 3 hours and still did not have enough time to spend as much time as we would have liked on everything that was there.) Here I am in the "oval office." Everything in the room is a replica of how it looked when Reagan was in office. I would love to have an office this beautiful wouldn't you? :)
The highlight of our visit to the library was getting to walk through Airforce One (For security reasons we we were not able to take a picture of the inside of the airplane),
seeing parts of the Berlin Wall, a beam from 911, seeing Reagan's Memorial, and exploring the temporary Disney exhibit.
They displayed different costumes, rides from Disney, had a superhero portion and a had section about the history of Disney. All the information and displays were very fascinating. On Thursday, we went to Disneyland for a second time with my cousins.
This time around was more fun since it was not as crowded. Since I have not crafted for the past two weeks I will be sharing with you the Tea Swap from last month. This is what Mary made and gave to me.

This is what I came up for her. It's a pocket snowman that I made using an envelope.
The hat is able to slide off and the face of the snowman is the pocket. The pocket came handy for me to put some tea bags inside. I need to end for now to get to work on making items for my daughter's b-day party so stay tune for pictures of what I make soon. Have a nice rest of the weekend!

A New Year
I can't believe that today is 2013. As I reflect on 2012, I thank the Lord for all that He has given me to experience in the different areas of my life and for how He has used each one of them to mold me into the person that He wants me to be. I also thank Him for the different people that He has placed in my life and for the time to continue to craft. I look forward to how God will work in my life in the coming new year and pray that He will help me to be a blessing and light to all those that He places in my life. Praying that each of you will have a blessed 2013. God bless!
