Beginning of the School Year Treats

Wednesday was officially the end of Summer Break for my kids and I.  It's always bittersweet for us during this time of year.  On Tuesday night I was crazy busy trying to finish up all the beginning of the school year gifts for my co-workers and for my kids' teachers. Some of my co-workers I gave them a post-its with an apple magnet on the topper.  I also attached a tag with an apple magnet on some of the gifts.  I wrote an inspirational quote on each of the magnets. My hands were sure cramping up with writing the quotes on the apples.  LOL!

Other co-workers received

and my co-workers that I am closer friends and the secretaries received

Here are the mini buckets with the tags.

I decorated a bucket and filled it with goodies for my kids' teachers too. (The backpacks in the picture are my kids new backpacks.)

I always think it's fun to bring a smile to someone's face by surprising them with a special treat. I know I love surprises  They definitely bring a smile to my face.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful 3 day weekend!

Good Times In Oahu With Cousins and Friends and RAKs

One last post about my trip to Oahu.  I hope that you aren't getting too bored with my pictures of my vacation in paradise.  I could probably go on for weeks posting pictures of my vacation, but I won't bore you by doing that.  LOL!  Before I go on with the post I want to warn you that this post will be a long one. You may want to grab a nice cold drink or two before you continue reading.  :) During our 10 in Oahu there as I mentioned earlier my family and I got to visit with family and friends. During our first week there we had dinner with my cousin Candice (She was studying abroad at the University of Manoa.).  We had dinner together at LikeLike.

Next we had dinner with my cousin Deannie at Zippys.  It was super nice to get to see her since we have not seen each other ever since I was in junior high school.  We hooked up about a year ago on Facebook and have kept in touch since then.

I started off the the weekend with having breakfast at KoKo Head Cafe with my friend Grace.

We had a fab day together enjoying each others company, catching up on things, and going shopping at J's Knicknacks (Here's a picture of me with Cliff and Cheryl. Cheryl and I have chatted online, but this was the first time that we met each other.),

Celebrations, and at 2 of the Ben Franklins (At one of them we ran into Jenny from Sister Stamps.  She was nice enough to take a picture with both of us.)

Our last stop after having lunch at the Wards Center was at Taj Clubhouse.  We made a make and take there.

On Sunday my family and I had dinner with Fran and her family at Side Street Cafe.  Both of our families had a blast together.

The last friend that we got to see was Michelle and her family.  We had dinner together at Highway Inn at their new location in Honolulu.

Before ending this post I want to share the RAK that my family and I were given by Candice,

Grace,

Fran and her family (She gave us the two yarn leis that Stitch is wearing.),

and by Michelle and her family.

It's always a blessing and the highlight of our trip to Oahu when we get to visit different people that we know. We had a wonderful time seeing everyone and miss everyone very much already.  A big mahalo to you for taking time to look at my long post.  Until next time happy crafting and God bless!

High Tea at Monarch Tea Room

While I was in Oahu 4 of my friends and I had our annual tea party.  We go to different tea rooms each time.  This time we went to Monarch Tea Room.  Here are a few pictures of the place.

Here is a picture of us before we enjoyed our tea and goodies.

We all had a wonderful time together enjoying our tea (We all chose our own flavor of tea and shared a cup or two of our teas with each other.  I had a lychee flavored tea.)  and the sandwiches, scones, macarons, muffins, etc.

Our time together always seems to go by so fast. We chat up a storm each time as if we have seen each other all the time.  Before ending our time together we gave each other gifts. Here I am with the awesome gifts that each friend made.

I decorated tea pots.  Each one is pretty much the same with exception of the bees on each.  I also made a tag for each person and gave them green tea and a package of tea cookies.

As usual the ladies, wowed me with their creative gifts.  I thank each of them for their awesome and thoughtful gifts and for being such a blessing to me.  As always a big mahalo and hug for making time to have tea with me each year.  Until next year my friends!

Gifts From My Ohana to Family and Friends in Oahu

My family and I got back from our 10 day super fun and relaxing vacation in Oahu 4 days ago. (We are happy that we made it safely home before the storms hit Oahu.) The 4 of us had a great time visiting my two cousins, visiting 6 friends, going shopping, eating ono food, and going sightseeing.  Even though we have been to Oahu so many times we still manage to still have lots of fun and find new things to do. We took lots of beautiful pictures during our 10 days in paradise.  So you won't get too bored I will only be sharing some of them with you and a few on each post.  I will start off by sharing with you some of the gifts that I made and brought.  Each person/family that we saw I made them some thing and gave them each a one of our favorite treats.  Here's what I made

and the treats that we gave to my cousins and friends.

We received treats from some of them too.  I will be sharing them with you on another day.
Before ending my post for today I would like to share with you some pictures of the ono pastries that we ate.  It was out first time going to Liliha Bakery and Kamehameha Bakery and will definitely will not be our last. At Liliha Bakery we ordered their red bean malasadas as well as their haupia and apple filled ones, a mango roll, and their coco puffs, and their cream puffs.

My kids loved the cream puffs.  I thought that the Chantilly Lace on top of the puffs were the best.  At Kamehameha Bakery and ordered their taro malasadas and guava malasadas.

My family and I are not usually into pastries, but when it comes to HI ones we can't resist.  LOL!  Thanks for stopping by.  Stay tune for more posts of our trip to paradise.
