A Belated Thanksgiving Post

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!  I hope that all of you had a blessed time celebrating. My family and I had a memorable Thanksgiving.  Before I share about what we did I am going to share with you what I made as my Thanksgiving gifts this year.
Each holiday I like to surprise family and friends with a little handmade gift.  I always pray that God will use what I make to bless their day and to remind them what a blessing they are to me.  I am grateful for the people that He has placed in my life each day but especially during Thanksgiving. God has used each o them to minister to me and to help me be the person that I am today. As for our Thanksgiving we had some pre-Thanksgiving fun.  We spent a few days in to Vegas.  We had lots of fun but are glad to be home to breath the fresh air.  There was much so much smoking there.  Despite all the smoking we had fun eating Hawaiian food (We ate HI food on all 3 days.),
eating at one of Gordan Ramsey's restaurants,
shopping,
and visiting the amazing rock formations at Red Rock and Valley of Fire.
On Thanksgiving Day my hubby and I surprised our kids with tickets to watch Ralph Wrecked the Internet at El Capitan.  We were happy to get fourth row center tickets with purchasing tickets a day before the showing.  We were super excited to get to take pictures with Ralph and Penelope since they are only there on selected dates. We loved the movie and enjoyed eating popcorn from our kawaii popcorn buckets.  It was great to enjoy a sundae to celebrate Mickey's birthday.

On Thanksgiving evening we had a delicious dinner at my SIL and BIL's house.  Before ending this post I would like to take some time to thank the Lord for each of you my blogging friends that take time to see what I have to share. It is my prayer that through reading my blog that you will sense God's love through what I share about family, friends, and my crafting and one day want to experience His love too. Have wonderful weekend!  Happy shopping!

Tea or Coffee

My good friend and Dori and I were paired for the September tea swap.  It was optional to make a card with the theme "coffee" or "tea." Both of us choose to make a tea themed card.  I made this easel card for her with a panda because she likes pandas.

I sent her panda themed RAK.  I took a picture of a few of the items that I sent to her.

This is the cool card that she sent to me with a purple background (She remembered my favorite color.)

and some of the thoughtful and delicious (Inside the envelope that she made is a bag of M&Ms.) items that she sent to me.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you will have a wonderful weekend.  I am looking forward to mine.  :)  Stay tune to see I will be up too.

A Lawn Fawn Themed Post

Yes, I have been MIA for a bit from blogging. I took  mini vacation from blogging.  :)  Well, this evening I am back and would like to share with you what my daughter and I did last Saturday.  We went to Stamp Fever for their Lawn Fawn free make and take. We previously met the owner and designer of Lawn Fawn I wanted to surprise her with a little gift.  I made her an apple shaped card using one of the apple die from Fawn Lawn and of course put googlie eyes on it.

To stick with the "apple" theme  I gave her one of my favoritex from Hawaiian, sour apple candy.

Check out these two cool cards that we made. The card on the top is the one that I made and the one on the bottom my daughter made.  I stuck to the sample that they had.  My daughter it together on her own using the same pieces.  She did a really good job.

For making a purchase we got these two freebies.

Before leaving we chatted with the owner of Fawn Lawn and took a picture with her and

asked her to autograph the catalog. It was such a fun afternoon doing the make and take and seeing Kelly again.  Thanks for stopping by to see what I have to share.  Have a blessed weekend!

The Big 5-0 and A Farm

A good friend celebrated her 50th birthday a week ago.  What a blessing it was to celebrate with her and her family.  I made this tag to attached to the gift that my family and I gave to her.

My good friend just like me loves Hawaii so we got her a HI themed gift.  We got her a Hawaii 5-0 t-shirt in honor her turning the big 5-0 (It was my hubby's brilliant idea to get her the t-shirt.), got her a wooden place to put it on, and got her a lei.

Here a picture of my good friend and I.  (It was also my hubby's idea for us to all our HI 5-0 t-shirts.)

I hope that everyone is having a good Fall so far.  On the first day of Fall my family and I went to Tanaka Farms.  It was so much fun seeing Hello Kitty,

visiting the pumpkin patch, going shopping, and

enjoying onolicious snacks made straight from the farm.  Here is one of the things we ordered- fried potato.

We also ordered roasted corn. Thanks for stopping by to see what I have to share.

Remembering 9-11

I can't believe that is was 17 years ago that 9-11 occurred.  I remember it as if I was yesterday.  Despite how devastating that day is I am grateful that God has used it to unite our nation.  Every year my family brings some goodies, makes cards, and writes messages to deliver to a local fire station.  Here is what my family and I came up with this year.

As we remember what happen 17 years ago I pray that God will continue to bless the families that were directly affected and pray that He will bless our everyday heroes that serves our communities 24/7 and keep them safe.  Thanks for stopping by!

Time In Oahu Part 3

Happy September!  I hope that this post is finding you doing well.  I have been busy and very tired lately.  When I am not busy I haven't really felt like doing anything besides relaxing or napping.  Hope that I have more energy soon and is motivated to do more.  Well today I am going to post pictures of my visit with my friend Cindy while I was visiting Oahu.  I made this tag for her

a bag with pineapples on it.  Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the bag with the tag on it. I put several pineapple themed products in her bag.  Cindy loves pineapples so I thought that it would be fun to surprise her with only pineapple themed items.  :)   She made this super cool punch art gift card holder for me

and this nice card.

Besides two cards she gave me a thoughtful and generous gift. It was such a blessing for both of us of to finally meet in person.

We have chatted online and on the phone but this was the first we have met in person.  It is so awesome that we clicked off the bat.  It felt like we knew each other for years.  Cindy is not only a super creative and sweet person, but also a person that loves God. I look forward to seeing her again one day soon. Well before I end this post I have a few more pictures of  our trip in Oahu.  Here is a picture of my family and I on the balcony of our hotel room on the last day of our vacation.
Boy do we miss this view.

Here are some of the beautiful flowers that we saw.  They look too perfect to be real.  God's handiwork is awesome!

Last but not least is some of the cute food that we saw at a bakery at Shirokoya Food Court.  My daughter ordered he crab and I ordered hedgehog.  They were both much too cute to eat.  LOL!

Although it has only been about a month and a half since we have been in Oahu we miss being there already.  To help us miss Oahu just a little less we while we were at Disneyland on Labor Day we wore HI themed clothes, ate a Dole Whip donut, took a picture of a hibiscus, and purchased a Tiki Room themed bow.

I hope that you enjoy what I have to share especially of the glimpse of the fun time my family and I had in Oahu. Thanks for dropping by!

Time in Oahu Part 2

Happy Monday!  Summer ended for my kids last week. I am thankful that they had a fun summer with family and friends. I am sad to see the summer end, but both of them are happy to be back in school to see their friends.  As mentioned in a previous post this post and the next post I will be posting about some the happenings of when we were in Oahu last month.  On the Sunday that we were there I had a good time spending the day with friends while my hubby and he kids chillaxed at the hotel.  My tea friends and I had good time crafting, talking story, and eating together.  Each of us prepped a project for the rest of the group to make.  Prior to going to the get together I made a tea themed tag for each friend in their favorite colors.  On the back I wrote "Your friendship warms my heart"  (Sorry the picture is not centered.)

I attached the tag to a bag that I purchased from Daiso and put their gift inside.

Here a picture of all of us with the projects that we prepped (Back row from left to right: Melanie with a hand sanitizer holder, Brenda with a 3D project that fits into an envelope, Dori: box; Fran is the friend next to me with the itched coasters that she taught us how to make.).

Before ending this post I am going to share two of my favorite pictures that we took.  Here is one of one of my favorite foods that I tried (Mochi donut- We tried 10 different flavors. Just seeing the picture of the donuts is making my mouth water and crave for them.),

and a picture of the sunset from a beach at North Shore.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week!

Time in Oahu Part 1

Sorry that I have been MIA for a bit.  My family and I just got back from beautiful Oahu for our vacation a week ago.  We had an awesome time visiting with friends, going sight seeing, eating onolicious food, and just relaxing.  It was cool that we went to the beach/pool 7 out of 10 days.  For the next three posts I will be sharing with you about our trip.  Two friends that I got to visit were Michelle and Grace.  I made these two tags for them.

Michelle gave me this gift and

Grace gave me this gift.

Here is a picture of Michelle and I

and of Grace and I.

It is always great seeing them and being able to spend some time together.  Before I end this post I a going to share with you one of favorites that we enjoyed- Snow Ice from Frost City.

I also want to share with you some fun projects that my family and I made at the Ben Franklin HPD event.  My hubby and son made the resin popsicles and my daughter and I painted the lazered cut wood (by Mizmatchedstar).

We all had a fun time.  Besides making the above I made a shaker card.  My daughter made a stress ball and my son got to hold a riot shield and sit on and rev an ATV.  Both of them got to take a picture with one of the officers.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a fun weekend!

A Tag and a Fun Time With a Good Friend

Happy Monday! Last week on Thursday one of my good friends and I had blast at Candytopia, a roving candy museum. It was funny a few weeks ago when we were talking on the phone I asked her if she would be interested in going to the museum.  She said that she was going to ask me if I am interested in going.  Great minds think alike.  :)  Good thing we purchased tickets that night online because the museum will be leaving soon to New York.   It was an hour full of fun, laughter, and sweet fellowship.  Prior to going to the museum I made her a this tag.  I colored it with my Copics and fussy cut the stamp image from Stamp Annie Thing to put on the tag.  My friend loves lady bugs so I thought that she would love the outfit the girl is wearing.

I attached the tag to some goodies for my friend.  All the exhibits at the museum were awesome. It is so cool how they used various kinds of candy for the everything. Here are some of my favorites.

There was one exhibit where they had a dust pan full of confetti and poured it on our heads.  That was kind of fun!

There was also a marshmellow pit.  We decided to not go in the pit, but we had fun playing with them.

I appreciate you for taking time to stop by from time to time to see what I have to share.  I would love to see who has been stopping by so if you would like please leave me a comment so that I can say "thank you."  Have a blessed week!
