Valentine's Day and Lunar New Year

Happy belated Valentine's Day and Happy Lunar New Year! I hope that all you were able to spend some time with those that you love this week on Valentine's Day and show them some extra love.  Here are the gifts that I put together this year for family and friends.

My hubby took me out to lunch for Valentine's Day.

In the evening we took out kids out to dinner at a Japanese restaurant.  For their appetizer we ordered a heart shaped pizza for them.

I have not made any of my Chinese NY gifts yet so I will just end this post with this picture for New Years.  For those of you that celebrate Lunar New Years I am praying that each of you will have an amazing Year of the Dog with lots of blessings from above.

A Fun Secret Sister Tea Swap

Sorry I did not have a chance to write a post last week.  Time just seems to be whizzing by.  It just seemed like yesterday that 2018 started and now it's February.  LOL!  Anyways, today I will be posting pictures of the Secret Sister Tea Swap from December.  I had the pleasure of surprising my good friend Dori with some thing crafty

and with some goodies.

Cathy was my Secret Sister.  She made me a super bright and cheery desk organizer

and a stamp set with a coordinating die.

I can't wait to use them next Christmas to either make some fun cards or tags.  Recently I ordered some super cute stamps. I considered it a New Year's gift to myself.  :) Hopefully I get to ink them up soon to make some fun projects.

Happy Retirement to a Dear Friend!

Yesterday a dear friend retired. I will miss her so much.  I appreciate all her love, encouragement, and prayers over the years. She always has the right words to say to brighten my day.  I got her a little some thing for her retirement gift and included this card that I made for her.

It has been awhile since I have colored with my Copics.  I felt a little nervous coloring with them.  Here is a picture of my friend and I before we said our "good-byes."

Some Crafty Creations from Friends

I hope that all of you are doing well.  So far this year I have not done any crafting.  I hope to be able to have a chance to do some today.  Today I will be posting the crafty Christmas cards that I received this year.  I usually receive more handmade cards, but it is totally understandable since it is such a busy time of year.  This card is from Karen.  She always makes the best scenes for her cards.

Time in San Diego

We took some time after New Years to visit one of our favorite places- San Diego.  We spent 3 fabulous days there.  Every time we go there 3 stops are a "MUST" for us.  We always go to the Papertales- a super cute stamp store  (I made this tag to attach the bag that I surprised the owner with as her belated Christmas gift. Check out the cute stamps that I got for her.),

Cravory- a gourmet cookie store (This is the onolicious smores cookie that I always order.),

and Phil's BBQ.

Here are a few other fun places that we visited while we were there.  We went on a suspension footbridge,

to Sunset Cliffs Beach,

to a monument (We got there just in time to watch the sunset.),

and to LEGOLAND ( I love how everything there is made out of legos.)

We have only been home for a few days and I miss being there already.  LOL!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful 2018 so far.  I was hoping to write this post yesterday but I was feeling a bit under the weather.  My family and I put this sign together on New Year's Eve.  Each of us drew our own portrait.

We have not gone to a New Year's party in awhile.  It was fun welcoming the New Year with family and friends even though we were a bit tired by time the ball dropped.  LOL!

Cheers to all of you with some sparkling cider in our goblets.  Here's to a year with lots of blessings from above and some fun and creative moments.

A Belated Merry Christmas

I hope that everyone had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas.  My family and I had a fun and memorable day celebrating Jesus birthday. (I was hoping to post the day after Christmas but I had a hard time downloading the pictures from my phone.   I was finally able to get them downloaded last night.) Prior to all the celebrating each night last week I made tags with the assistance of my hubby for our gifts.  We stayed up until 2am for several nights making them.

To save on time we only had one handmade per family.  The families that have more than family member that received a gift received store bought tags. Here are a few of our decorations.

On Christmas day my hubby and I are asked each year to lead worship in the kids' Sunday School Department.  I am always super nervous before we need to do it, but I am always glad that we get to serve together as our gift to Jesus's for His birthday.

Here is a close up picture of our outfits. We thought it would be fun to both wear our "lights."  If you take a closer look at the lights that I was wearing every other light is Mickey's head.  :)
