This week has been very quiet without my kids home. They went on vacation with my parents for a week. It was a very emotional "good-bye" especially for me. My hubby and I miss both of them we know that they are having a good time. While they were gone I spent some time with two friends. Both of them like Hello Kitty like I do so I surprised them with a purse that I made using one of my dies.
I made a bow using my SU punch to put on the lip of the purse. I put a package of buttons in the purses.
It was fun having dinner with Carol
and having lunch with my friend Esther.
I also gave Esther a religious coloring book (Yes it is the same coloring book that my friend Fran gave to me. Since I had too copies of the book I though it would be nice to give one to Esther since she likes to color.) and green tea candy.
She made this beautiful card for me
and gave me these.
Besides having a good time with friends my hubby and I had a nice time having some along time. We spent two days in beautiful San Diego. We went to the Japanese Friendship Garden
(There was a special Kawaii Exhibit there.),
Seaport Village.
Torrey Pines (We love the beautiful view of the ocean, the rack formations and had fun climbing the 118 steps.)
and to Mount Soledad.
We had good time eating at Phil's BBQ
and at Joe's Crab Shack.
We also visited three craft stores. I thank my hubby for always being so patient with me. He takes pictures of the samples while I go shopping. :) I made this card before going to SD to give to the owner of Papertales just to say "thanks" for always being so welcoming to me and for having such a fun store.
Prior to leaving for SD we went to Disneyland on Sunday. It was National Stitch Day. We were so surprised that there were not many people dressed for the occasion. I had fun wearing my Lilo dress that my hubby ordered for me from Hot Topics. I received over 20 compliments. I kept hearing people say "There's Lilo." One lady even came up to me and asked me if she could take a picture with me .
We had a good time together this week, but are grateful to the Lord for bringing our kids safely home from their trip with my parents. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy 4th of July! Thanks for stopping by!
