Gifts and Cards for Special People

I am officially off for bit from work and am happy to have some time to relax, read, craft, spend more time with family and friends, etc. Every year I like to surprise my co-workers each with a little some thing to say a big "Mahalo" for their love, support, encouragement, and help.  I made 26 treat boxes using my envelope punch board (I am so sorry that I didn't line up the treat boxes straight when I took a picture of them.  I was in a bit of a rush.  LOL!)

made tags,

and made bows using the bow die from Stampin Up to put on some cups that I purchased.

Along with these gifts I made graduation cards for 6 students on my caseload that graduated.

I used a stamp set from SU that retired a long time ago that has an eagle stamp.  I used the stamp every year for the graduation cards since the mascot of the school that I work at is an Eagle.  It was lots of fun surprising different people with goodies to show my appreciation to them and to say "congrats."

A Belated Post for Father's Day

I hope that all of you had a lovely Father's Day celebrating with your grandfather's, fathers, godfathers, uncles, special friends, etc. last weekend.  Since we had my youngest sister's baby shower over the weekend and due to work obligations we postponed celebrating Father's Day with my dad.  The kids and I did however take Benson out for dinner to Islands.  We think they have one of the best burgers and fries.  My son ordered a burger and my daughter ordered mac and cheese.  My hubby ordered hula burger (aka a mushroom burger)

and I ordered a mahi mahi sandwich.

For dessert we had a kona lava pie.

It was super ono!!!!!!  My favorite part was the chocolate crest. For  my hubby's gift our kids made him goodies at school and at church.  We also ordered a gift for him online but it has not arrived yet. Besides giving my hubby  a gift for Father's Day my kids also give gifts to their grandfather, uncles, godfathers, and special friends that they consider their "uncles."  I made these tags for them to attach to their gifts.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I have to share today.

Gifts For My Kids' Teachers

There's lots of stuff going on during this time of year for me - end of the school festivities, paper work, and gifts to make for work, end of the school year festivities and goodies for my kids, getting gifts and making tags for Father's Day, and planning for my sister's baby shower.  I have been praying each day for God to help me to have strength and patience to get everything done.  Each day before my head  hits the pillow I thank Him for helping me get through another day.  I hope that all of you are doing well and not as swamped as I am with things.  Thanks for listening!  Well now I would like to share some fun projects that I have been working on.  I made a "thank you" card for my kids' teachers.  They colored a picture that I stamped from LaLa Land. Then I cut them out using one of my Stampin Up dies and wrote on the card with a chalk pen.  (Whoever came up with chalk pens is brilliant.  I love them!)  Each of them wrote a special message for their teacher in the card.  I think the stamped images have  very close resemblance to my kids.  This is the card for my son's teacher

and the card for my daughter's teacher.

Along with the cards, I decorated an apple post-it holder as a gift for them to give to their teachers.

I thank the Lord my love of crafting to help me be "okay" among my super busy schedule.  Stay tune for what I made for my sister's shower and for Father's Day.  Until then have happy crafting and God bless!

I Was On A Roll

Yes, I was on a roll last week with making cards. I haven't made two cards in one week in a long time. The first card is the one that I made for my son for his overnight field trip.

When I purchased the "superhero" character from Lala awhile back I knew it was the perfect stamp to use to make a card for my son since he loves superheroes.  I was just waiting for a good time to surprise him with a card.  My hubby, daughter, and I each wrote him a message in the card. I placed the card on his pillow as a little surprise for him. We prayed for my son before he went to bed (and I shedded a few tears). The second card is for a co-worker and friend that will be retiring. She loves Snoopy so I thought it would be fun to make her a card with the Peanuts characters on it

(I am sorry that the picture of my card looks a little distorted.  I downloaded the picture twice and the picture looked the same both times.  If you click on the picture it is much clearer.) along with a Snoopy tile for her gift.  I am glad that God used the two cards that I made to bring a smile to two special people in my life.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week!
