May's Secret Sister Swap

I hope that this post is finding each of you doing well.  It continues to be fun time spending time with family and friends this summer.  I have also been able to get lots of crafting.  I have not done this much craftin' in awhile.  Stay tune to see what I have been up to.  Back in May the theme for the Secret Sister Swap was "Graduation."  This is the card that I made for Jenny

and the RAK that I sent to her. (Prior to getting Jenny the items I asked the person that coordinates the swap to contact her to see what her favorite colors are and what kind of things she likes.)

I had lots of fun coloring the image from Sister Stamps and using one of my new sets from Stampin Up to cut the leaf borders out.  Patty was my Secret Sister.  Check out this super cute card that she made for me.

She said that is just recently started crafting.  Based on what she made it looks like she has been crafting for years.  I am really impressed.  She sent this to me as my RAKs.

Before ending this posts I wanted to share with you a dessert that I enjoyed this week when my family and I went out for dessert with a friend.

The lychee jello and lychee pudding with lyeee ice cream and mochi balls in it was pretty good.  My favorite part of the dessert is of course the Hello Kitty. :)  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a blessed weekend!

Quality and Fun Time With Two Good Friends and Onolicious Desserts

I hope that this post is finding everyone doing well and staying cool.  It was been great having the  time off from work.  One of the highlights of my time off is being able to spend time with friends.  Last week and today I was able to spend some quality time with two more good friends. Prior to seeing them I made these two tags that open up into cards to attach to a few goodies that I gave to them.

Last week my family and had dinner with my good friend Lorraine and her hubby.

Lorraine retired a few years ago.  We try to get together each time I have time off from work.  Today my good friend Sandy I had some time together.  She has always wanted to learn how to color with Copic markers.  I gave her few tips.  We had a fun afternoon coloring and chatting together.  :)

Some times I feel like a kid again being so excited to be able to hang out with friends.  LOL!  Before ending my post for today I wanted two onolicious pictures.  The first one a macaroon from Disneyland filled with raspberries.  It was the best macaroon I have ever eating.

The second and final picture I of  a dessert called halo halo that my family and I shared at a Philipino restaurant.  It hit the spot perfectly at the end of a hot summer day.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope that you will have a wonderful rest of your week ad will have some time to do some crafting. God bless!

A Fun, Quiet Week

This week has been very quiet without my kids home.  They went on vacation with my parents for a week.  It was a very emotional "good-bye" especially for me.  My hubby and I miss both of them we know that they are having a good time.  While they were gone I spent some time with two friends.  Both of them like Hello Kitty like I do so I surprised them with a purse that I made using one of my dies.

I made a bow using my SU punch to put on the lip of the purse.  I put a package of buttons in the purses.

It was fun having dinner with Carol

and having lunch with my friend Esther.

I also gave Esther a religious coloring book (Yes it is the same coloring book that my friend Fran gave to me. Since I had too copies of the book I though it would be nice to give one to Esther since she likes to color.) and green tea candy.

She made this beautiful card for me

and gave me these.

Besides having a good time with friends my hubby and I had a nice time having some along time.  We spent two days in beautiful San Diego. We went to the Japanese Friendship Garden

(There was a special Kawaii Exhibit there.),

Seaport Village.

Torrey Pines (We love the beautiful view of the ocean, the rack formations and had fun climbing the 118 steps.)

and to Mount Soledad.

We had good time eating at Phil's BBQ

and at Joe's Crab Shack.

We also visited three craft stores.  I thank my hubby for always being so patient with me.  He takes pictures of the samples while I go shopping.  :)  I made this card before going to SD to give to the owner of  Papertales just to say "thanks" for always being so welcoming to me and for having such a fun store.

Prior to leaving for SD we went to Disneyland on Sunday.  It was National Stitch Day.  We were so surprised that there were not many people dressed for the occasion.  I had fun wearing my Lilo dress that my hubby ordered for me from Hot Topics.  I received over 20 compliments.  I kept hearing people say "There's Lilo."  One lady even came up to me and asked me if she could take a picture with me .

We had a good time together this week, but are grateful to the Lord for bringing our kids safely home from their trip with my parents.  Have a wonderful weekend and Happy 4th of July! Thanks for stopping by!
