Happy Easter!

Easter is one of my favorite holidays.  This holiday reminds me of the hope that I have in my life as a Christian because of what Jesus did on the cross for me and He how rose again today.  To help make our holidays a lot more fun I like to have my family dress in a particular color when we go to church.  For today I choose for everyone to wear a shade of purple.  Here is a picture of my hubby and I with out Easter outfits.

My family and I all had a good time going to church and serving God today since it's such a special day.  I hope that you had a wonderful Easter too.  Stay tune this week for a picture of some fun treats and crafty items that we gave to family and friends for Easter.  See you soon!

A Special Friday

Thanks you Jesus for your sacrifice on the cross!

Four Inspiring Cards

It's always super fun receiving "happy mail" from friends each month for our swaps.  I've been a little behind in posting them.  The first two are from January.  The on the top is from Cary and the one on the bottom is from Fran.

The last two for today are from Valentine's Day. The one on the left is from Grace and the other one is from Cary.

I hope that you found the cards that I posted as inspirational as I did.  Now it's time to finish up on making my Easter gifts for family and friends.  Stay tune for a post on what I've been working on next week.  Have a blessed Easter everyone!

Time Spent With Family, Friends, Eating Ono Food, and Some Thing Crafty

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was very relaxing.  On Saturday my family and I started off our day by meeting other family meetings for our annual visit to pay our respects to my paternal and maternal grandparents at their grave sites. No matter how long ago they have joined God in heaven, we all still miss them a lot.  We thank the Lord for the memories that He has given us with them and for how He has used them to touch our lives.  Each year, my hubby and I let our kids pick out a balloon to give to their great grandparents to include with the flowers that we give to them.

After lunch we went to one daughter's friend's b-day party at a bowling alley.  It was my son's second time going bowling and my daughter's first time.   Both of them had a great time.

Yesterday we went to church and ran errands.  For dinner we had ordered take out.  Check our Hawaiian feast fit for royalty.  :)  We ordered spam musubis, a mixed plate that included teriyaki chicken and beef and spare ribs, two orders of loco moco, and Hawaiian fried rice.

Okay, now it's time for me to share my crafty picture for this post.  Last month a friend that loves cupcakes celebrated her b-day.  I sent her a cupcake themed present.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a blessed week!

It Felt Like Christmas Again

Look what I received a week ago.

I  received the orders that were placed during my stamp party.  This is what I call super happy mail.  It was a little crazy sorting all the products out since there were so many of them.  It was fun though seeing all the fun products that my friends ordered. I added a few of the items that they ordered to my "wish list."  I guess seeing the items personally is different from just seeing them in a catalog.  Here are the many cool products that I was able to earn thanks to everything that was purchased by my friends.

Yes, it felt like Christmas again.  Unfortunately all the goodies arrived at a time of year where I have lots of paperwork to do for work.  I can't wait until all of it is done so that I can play with my new products.  My favorite of what I received are the dress embosslits.

I made these flower magnets as a "thank you" gifts and included them with each of the orders.

Here is a close up picture of it.

Thanks for dropping by today.

Going Green

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  In honor of this holiday I saved my tea swap from last month to post today.  We were asked to make a card with the theme "Going Green."  It's always fun to see how people interpret the theme to make a card.  This is what I came up with for my tea swap partner, Byron.

It was a bit of a challenge for me to make the card since I couldn't make cutsie.  I think I did a pretty good job in making not look cutsie.  After I did the stamping and adhered the pieces onto the card I ran the entire thing through my Big Shot using an embossing folder.  I learned this technique awhile back and thought it was pretty cool.  This is what Byron made for me. Inside the bag he put two tea bags.

Check out the inside of the card.

Along with two tea bags, he sent me a few surprises.

I love them all since they have a Hawaiian theme to them.  Before ending this post I wanted to share another card that I made for St. Patty's Day.

I used the same technique as the one I made for Byron, but using different colors and not as many shamrocks.

A Weekend Spent With Family and Friends

It was another busy, but fun weekend spending time with family and friends.  On Saturday my family and I went to watch the new Disney "Oz" movie.

The movie was very well made.  I loved all their costumes.  The ending was a little too dark for my taste though.  My favorite character was Finley, the flying monkey.  My hubby and daughter went to the Disney Store yesterday and surprised me with a stuffed animal Finley.

Isn't he cute?  :) Then in the evening we went out to dinner with my parents, siblings, BILs, aunts, uncles, and cousins for our Chinese New Year dinner.  We usually celebrate a month after New Year's so that the restaurants aren't as crowded.  We enjoyed a 10 course meal that included soup and dessert.  My favorite was the dessert.  We had coconut jello, black sesame jello, and red bead jello.

We left the restaurant with a bag full of ono goodies and red packages.  We usually give red packages out as well as ono goodies as gifts for Chinese New Year to each other.  Check out all the goodies that we got.

I guess I am going to need to hold off on continuing on my diet until next week.  :)  My family and I gave our relatives our favorite Hawaiian cookies.

Each year I make a tag to attach to what we give out. Here is a close up picture of the tag that I made.  I die cutted

Going to the movie and celebrating Chinese New Years made me feel super tired.  Loosing one hour did not help.  I was super exhausted yesterday and couldn't wake up for church. I felt much better after sleeping in.  :)  My family ended our weekend by going out to dinner with my good friend that retired in June and her hubby that we have also become good friends with.

Here's a picture of some of the food we ordered.

It was very nice seeing them and enjoying a fun meal together.  Thanks for sticking around for my lengthy post.  I hope that you enjoyed your visit.

Happy Mail Full of Ono and Cute Stuff

All week I've been more tired since we went to Disneyland almost two days in a row.  My kids are fine, but my hubby and I are taking a little longer for our bodies to recover.  LOL!  Today I would like to share what a friend that I swap with each month sent to me.  She made me this pretty pocket card with a matching cute gift for "Girl's Day",

The "Girl's Day" gift is for my daughter but I decided to keep it.  My daughter is at the age where she like cute stuff, but does not value the cuteness of it.  She is willing to open the package and eat it.  On the other hand I won't open it and keep it as a sample.  I showed her what my friend made and told her that we can make one together some time this week.  My friend also sent me this ono package that I can't wait to use.

She knows how much my family and I enjoy Hawaiian food. Thanks for dropping by to see what I have to share today.  Have a nice weekend!

Some Thing Ono and Some Fun RAK

Happy Monday and Happy March!  I hope that all of you had a fun and relaxing weekend.  Mine was by far one of the best ones I have had in awhile.  My family and I went to Disneyland twice.  One of the visits was planned and the other one was a last minute decision.  My hubby and I thought it would be fun to start off our weekend by going to Disneyland after school on Friday.  Since it was a short day for both of of them we had a few extra hours to spend there.  On Sunday we went again but this time with another family from church.  They asked us Sunday afternoon if we were interested in joining them for a few hours. Our families had a great time together sitting on rides and enjoying each others company.  Since both of our families have annual passes we look forward to going again together many more times in the near future.  Before sharing what I have planned for today I wanted to share some thing ono that my family and I have recently just started eating when we go to Disneyland.  Up until a few weeks ago turkey legs and chimichungas were our favorite.  Now it's eating soft pretzels that we dip in melted cheese.

Besides sharing a picture of the cute pretzel above I also wanted to share with you some RAK that I received recently.   It's always fun receiving RAK.

The Hello Kitty phone charm and green tea chocolate bar is from my cousin that came back from Japan recently and the rest of them are from friends.  As you can see the people that gave me the RAK all know me pretty well.  :)
