Orange and Blue Combo Cards

For April's tea swap I was paired up with  Tanya.  The theme of the swap was to make a card with orange and blue. I had a hard time with these two colors since I don't think they exactly coordinate.  Even though it was a little bit of a challenge to use the two colors I was pleased with how the card turned out.

Here are a few items that I sent to her for her RAKs.

This is the beautiful card that Tanya made for me

and the fun RAK that she sent to me.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend honoring those that have served our country, continue to serve our country, and their families.  May God bless them all!

A Cupcake for a Dear Friend

In honor of one of my dearest friend's birthday I made this card using the cup cake die from Stephanie Bernard. Those of you that know me well knows that I don't bake so the closest thing to a cupcake that I can make is made out of paper.  Some one was teasing me that I should have used brown ink with a sponge to put little marks on the edges for burnt marks.  That would be cute.  For the next cupcake that I make I will try that.  Anyways, here is how the cupcake turned out.

I thought it would be fun to add goodly eyes and a mouth to it.  This is how the looks when you open it.

Here is a picture of my dear friend and I.

My friend loved how the cup cake card turned out and so do I.  I can't wait to "bake" more cupcakes.  I mean die cute more of them.  :)  Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the awesome grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunties, godmothers, friends, teachers, counselors, and each and every lady that plays a special role in a person's life! In honor of today my family and I honored the special ladies in our lives with gifts and a magnet that I put together. Their is a special message on the back of them from my kids.

My family and I are so blest to have each of them in our lives and are glad we get to honor them today. It has been lots of fun being pampered by my hubby and kids.  It has also been fun pampering the special ladies in our lives.  Here is a picture of one of our celebrations.  This is my mom and I with my sisters.

Before I end this post I just wanted to say "thank you" to all the ladies out there for all that you do to make a difference in the lives that you touch. May God bless you all!

In Honor of Teacher Appreciation Week

For Teacher Appreciation Week last week I made several gifts/tags for my daughter to give to her teacher. I decorated an apple

and made an apple tag.  My daughter wrote a special message on the back of  the tag.

I made a tag to attach to dark chocolate candy bar which is her teacher's kind of chocolate.

I also made a little tag for a bag of veggie chips. Veggie chips is her teacher's favorite snack.

My daughter decorated this Minion for her teacher.

Mrs. DeClerk is a fab teacher and has taught my daughter so much.  I hope that she felt extra special this week being honored with different gifts by my daughter and her friends.  Before ending this post I want to share a picture of some thing super yummy that a good friend had delivered to my work for my belated b-day gift.  What a nice and yummy surprise that added some extra aloha to my day.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that everyone is having a good weekend so far and will have a wonderful week.  :)
