Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from my heart to yours! Today my family and I did a little activity to help us reflect on what we ate grateful to the Lord for. Each of us wrote several different things that I included in a scene that I made with stamped images from Sister Stamps. (Each of us colored a stamped image ealier thos week using Copic markers that is supposed to respresent each of us.) My hubby drew the turkey and the apple pie.

It was fun doing the activity together.  I hope that you will have a chance to reflect on what you are thank for today too. Before I end I wanted to share with you what I made for my Thanksgiving gifts.

I added googlie eyes to a package of silk leaces and made a mouth using a punch. I put a magnet on the back. I hope that each of you will have a blessed Thanksgiving.  I am thankful for each of you and look forward to meeting some of you in person one  day. Until then God bless!

A Lawn Fawn Themed Post

Sorry that I have been MIA from blogging.  Friday evenings are when I have been posting. For the past month or so my family and I have been going to DL Friday evenings so I have not had time to post anything.  Even though I have not been posting I have still been doing some crafting. Here is the card that I made for the owner of Lawn Fawn, Kelly Marie.  I used a set from one of her newest stamp sets.

She usually has a make and take a few times a year at a local stamp store that my daughter and I usually attend. I try to surprise her with a card and a treat each time.  Her last one for this year was a few weeks ago. Unfortunately Kelly Marie was not able to attend the event because she was under the weather. I usually take a picture with her with us holding the make and take. Instead I took a picture with two people from her company that showed my daughter and I how to make the project.

I am holding the awesome slider card that we made in the picture. Here is a close up picture of the make and take that I screen shot from the company's IG page.

After the make and take we went to pick up mochi donuts from Fils. My favorite was the guava one.

Hopefully I will have time to write a post again sometime soon. Thanks for stopping by!

A Fun Time Crafting

It has been super hot in SoCal.  Hope that it cools down soon.  A few weeks ago I got to spend some time with a long time friend and her daughter, P.  I enjoyed every moment crafting with them and having a fun time of fellowship.  P and I had a good time making birthday tags using a cupcake punch, cardstock, googlie eyes, a oval punch for the mouth, and sequins.

My friend, P, and I had fun doing the marbling technique using a kit that my friend ordered online.  P did this technique awhile back I think at an event and she wanted to show me how to do it.  The technique I super cool and makes very pretty backgrounds.  Here are some of the ones that we made.

After a few hours of crafting we my friend and P treated me out to dinner.  What a blessing it is having both of them in my life and for the awesome time that God blessed us with together.  I can't wait to get together with them again soon. Thanks for stopping by!  Have a blessed day!

A Hello Kitty Themed Event

Last month I went to a Hello Kitty themed luncheon at The Reef in Long Beach.  I made these for the hostess and for a friend.
Here is a picture of the guests at the party

and pictures with the hostess and two friends.

The buffet was delicious.

The cake, decorations, and favors were cute.

It was fun meeting new people too at the table that I was assigned to sit at.

Here are a few more pictures of my family vacation in Oahu.  The views are always breath taking.

Here is one our desserts.  We ordered Black Sesame fluff ice from Frost City.

We miss fluff ice.  All the local places have closed.  It was delicious.  Hope that everyone is staying cool with such hot weather especially here in SoCal.  It sure be nice to enjoy some fluff ice rignth now. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Time With Friends

It has already been a little more than two weeks ago since I had dinner with my tea swap friends in Oahu. It's always so much fun getting to spend time together, talking story, and enjoying a nice meal together. (Friends that are sitting next to the window from front to back: Fran, Dori, and Melanie; Friends on the opposite side of the window from front to back: Sherri, me, and Brenda)

They are each holding the a box from Daiso that I decorated for them using paint pens and window cling stickers. I filled the box with different cherry blossom themed gifts (washi tape, origami paper, and a magnet and two clips that I made.), two tea cookies and a cherry blossom tea bag in a little bag with cherry blossoms on them, macaron erasers that I added googlie eyes to,

and a tea pot/tea cup die.

I also purchased a bag and a folder from there for each of them

and made a tag in the shape of a teapot. Each one has a letter that represents the first letter of the person's name and has a second cherry blossom flavored tea bag.  I tried making them based on their favorite colors.

It is also always lots of fun receiving creative and thoughtful gifts.

I am thankful to the Lord for these friends and for He has blessed our friendship together over the years. There are several other tea swap friends that I have not yet met and hope to one day meet. It's always great to be able to put a face and voice to the great cards that I have received. Before I ending the next few posts I will include some pictures of my annual trip with my family to Oahu. Our trip there is always so much fun.  We more we go there the more we love it.  This is the picture of my hubby and I at Waikiki Beach.  We love that beach.  The water was always the perfect temperature, so clean, and has a great view. We spent lots of mornings there.  We never wanted to leave.

Of course we ate lots of good food in Oahu.  One of our favorites the garlic shrimp from the Fumi Shrimp Truck in the North Shore.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Belated Father's Day Dinner

Yesterday we finally celebrated Father's Day with my side of the family.  We didn't celebrate until yesterday because various family members have been out of town until now.  I am glad that 12 of us were able to get together to honor my dad, my two BILs, and my hubby.  I made Hawaiian ties as tags for my dad and BILs and attached it to one of their favorite drinks. I wrote a special message on the back. My family and I included a snack with their drinks as their gift.

Here is a picture of the special "dudes" that we honored yesterday

along with a picture of my sisters and I with my parents.

The food at King's Fish House was delicious.  Here's a little peak of what we ordered (Picture 1 on top: Fish and Chips; Picture 1 on the bottom: Jumbo Shrimp Louie salad; Picture 2 on the top: Ono Fish with brussel sprouts and spinach; Picture 2 on the bottom: Lobster sandwich)

and the dessert we ordered for my dad. I am not sure what we ordered.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy crafting!

A Panda Themed Post

Last month my daughter and I went to a make and take that one of my favorite stamp companies (Lawn Fawn) hosted at a local stamp store.  We had a great time making the make and take

and visiting with Marie the owner of  Lawn Fawn. Of course I had fun shopping too.

I gave her a panda themed gift by make her a tag with a panda on it and giving her two packages of panda cookies.  The panda stamp from Lawn Fawn is the birthday stamp that you receive when you place an order during your birthday month. I don't remember if it's from this year or last year.

I was on a roll with making panda themed cards/tags last month. I made a card for my tea swap last month with the panda from Kitty Bee Design.

I hope that all of you are having a wonderful summer so far.  Thanks for stopping by!

Some Summer Treats

Happy July!  I can't believe it 's July already.   I hope that everyone is having a good summer so far.  Mine has been very nice and relaxing. It has been so relaxing that I have been feeling lazy and not really wanting to do much.  I keep thinking about posting on here each week but when I am on my lap top I have not really been in the mood to write a post.  Hopefully for the next few weeks I will be more in the mood to blog. Today I am going to share with you some gifts that I made to celebrate that summer is here.  I made some magnets using pineapple erasers from Target and from Michaels.

I also die cutted some tags in the shape of a sun.

Last but not least I purchased some pineapple cups and put pineapple flavored gum inside and made added googlie eyes to a pine apple light

As you can see I am still having lots of fun adding googlie eyes to different gifts that I make.  I am off to do some crafting for swap.  I hope that you enjoyed what I have to share to today.  Have a great week and stay cool.  Until next time!

A Belated Easter Themed Post

It has almost been two months that I have posted.  Sorry that I have been lazy with blogging. I hope that all of you have been doing well.  Since I have not been blogging I have plenty of fun things to posts.  Today I am going to start with what I made with an Easter theme.  First is the card that I made for a swap.  The flower border is from Fawn Lawn and the stamp of the girl is from The Greeting Farm.

Next is an egg shape Hello Kitty card that I made using a die cut.  I die cutted the whiskers and eyes from an old HK die.  I attached the card to a box of HK Hawaiian candy.

Last but not least are the goodies that I put together for Easter gifts. It was fun adding googlie eyes and a magnet to the eggs and carrots that I purchased.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter a few weeks ago.  My family and I had a wonderful one celebrating the hope that Jesus gives to us through His sacrifice on the cross.  Hope to post again soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Meeting an Author and Suprising Her With a Few Things

It has been busy, busy, busy on my end with not much time to go blog hoping or to post anything on my blog.  I hope that while I was MIA for a bit from blogging that all of you are doing well.  I have been able to craft about every other week to make things for different people that I am visiting/meeting and for friends that are retiring, having a baby, etc. Last week I made for a card for Lisa See, an author that writes awesome books with an Asian theme.  My hubby and I had a chance to go to her book signing at Vromans a week ago.  It was great seeing her again and being able to listen to talk to her about her new book that was just released. Now I can't wait to find some time to read her book. After her talk we got to sample some Korean tea and a cracker while we waited for our ticket to be called for us to meet her and get our book signed.  Here are some pictures of last weeks event along with the card and tin of cookies that I gave to her.

I hope that you will have a wonderful weekend with some time to relax, craft, and spend time with family.  Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time happy crafting and God bless!

A Belated Valentine's Day Post

A week ago during this time I would be making my Valentine's Day treat for family and friends. I decorated heart shaped frames.  I didn't put the erasers that I made into magnets and put googly eyes on the heart.  Now that I think about it I should have.

I also made HK Valentine's.

Here is a picture of 4 additional gifts that I put together. Picture 1:  More heart shaped magnets using heart erasers. 2. I made magnets by punching a heart and putting a HK sticker on it.  I thought it would be fun to attach them to some of my favorite coconut chocolate. 3. Snacks for some guys co-workers/friends 4. Snacks and a heart shaped magnet for the secretaries at work

It's always fun surprising family and friends with handmade goodies from the heart. I hope that everyone had a LOVEly Valentine's Day.  My family and I had a nice one.  Not only on Valentine's Day, but each day my family and I are truly blessed to have the love of family and friends and best of all love from above from God.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Lunar New Year

For those of you who celebrate Lunar New Year, Gung Hay Fat Choy!  Sorry my wishes are one day late.  Well actually it's not technically late since the holiday is supposed to last for 15 days.  Every year during this time  I make tags or magnets to put on front of rice cracker bags for family and friends as a New Year's gift.  I try to order or find in my stash a stamp that represents the Zodiac character for the year.  This year I ordered a stamp from Dandelion Designs to use and made magnets. I also purchased envelopes from Daiso and put a lucky candy on it to create a lantern.  I filled the envelopes with lucky candy.

Annually my friend and I dress up as "twins" on Chinese NY wearing the Lunar NY t-shirt from California Adventure.

Before ending this post I wanted to share with you some pictures from the Lunar New Year's Festival at California Adventure.

The festival got us all pumped up to celebrate Chinese NY. We can' wait to go back to try more try more onolicious and cute food and maybe see the show for a third time.  Yes the show is awesome! We saw it twice on the day that we went. Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
