A Shopkins Themed Party for My Daughter

A month ago we had my daughter's b-day party at California Pizza Kitchen.  My daughter and her friends had a lots of fun together.  For her party favors I decorated gum ball machines and filled them with gum balls and put a Shopkin's eraser inside.

I also made tags for her party favor buckets that said "Good friends go SHOPKINNING together."

Here are the party favors

and the goodies inside the buckets.

We ordered aprons and ironed on each the first letter of their first name.

My daughter and her friends had a fun time together having a tour of the kitchen,

making their own pizzas,

and having dessert.

It was so cool that each of the girls got double party favors.  They received one from my daughter and one from the restaurant. Thanks for stopping by to see what I have to share.  Have a wonderful and crafty weekend!

Valentine's Day

In honor of Valentine's Day this past week I decorated various kinds of hearts for family, friends, and my students at church.

I wrapped Godiva candy bars with DSP, put a sentiment on it, and added a ribbon to finish it off for the secretaries at work.

I also decorated a few fun things for my Secret Valentine Buddy at work.  I was excited to get my good friend Sandy as my buddy but it was sure hard disguising my gifts to her.  On the sign up sheet she said she would like veggie seeds (I put the veggie seed in the mail box), stickers, and flowers.  This is exactly what I gave to her with some extras.

This is what Sandy gave to me.

For Valentine's Day my family and I went out to dinner a few days before the holiday.

The day before Valentine's Day my hubby and I went out to lunch together at one of our favorite local restaurants.  All the food was very good.  Our favorite was the salmon and the dessert.

I hope that all of you had a lovely Valentine's Day.  Hugs!  Those of you that have a 3 day weekend have a fun and relaxing one.

Happy Year of the Rooster!

Sorry that I have been MIA for a bit with blogging.  It has been very busy lately with work, family, etc.  I am thankful to get back into the swing of things today with having some time to post.  Today I would like to share with you what I made for Chinese New Year for family and friends. Every year I order a stamp from Dandelion Designs with the zodiac character for the year and me a candy pouch with lucky candy in it.

This year I also made a tag with the stamp that I ordered.

I am going to attach the tag to a bag of our favorite Hawaiian cookies.

My family and I are going to pass them out during our Chinese New Year celebration with my family.  Before I end this post I wanted to share a few pictures of the fun that we had during the Chinese New celebration at California Adventure.  Here is a picture of the time my hubby and I went there when it was raining. (It was our first time going in the rain and probably our last.  It was not very fun even though it was not that crowded.  It did not feel good with my hair flat and my hands being cold from holding an umbrella.)

We went a second time with our kids.  Thankfully it was not raining that day.  We waited in line for 3 hour to take a picture with Mickey and Minnie

and enjoyed some delicious Asian food.

A yam macaroon and a turnip cup.

Fried fish (This was my favorite.)

We also got to watch some fun performances and a parade.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend!
