January's Tea Swap

Can you believe that today is the last day of February?  I definitely can't.  Time is just going by too fast for me.  Wish I could stop it just for a few hours a day.  LOL!  Am I the only one that feels this way or do some of you feel the same way?  Well, tonight I would like to share last month's tea swap.  I was so excited to be paired up with one of my good friend Gail for last month's tea swap.  It was through the tea swap almost two years ago that we became friends.  Ever since then we've been KIT and swapping cards each month.  Her cards and 3D items are always a great inspiration to me.  The optional theme was to use some sort of "tea themed" stamps and the optional colors are red and white.  This is the card that I made for Gail.

I made a pocket on the inside of the card to put the tea bags.

The card is made using one of the framelits from Stampin Up.  The tea cups and pot are from a set from SU called Morning Cup and the words on the front of the card is from a set called Tea Shoppe.  Gail made a cute purse for me with two tea bags inside.

Both of us suprised each other with a little RAK.  I sent her a box of tea and cookies. (Sorry the items in the picture are crooked.)

She made me another cute purse with the cute post-its and clips.

She also sent me a beautiful calendar.

The monthly tea swap is always lots of fun, but it was extra fun last month since I was paired up with one of my good friends.

My Annual Stamp Party

I had my annual Stampin Up party last night with 16 friends over.   Raedean and Tracey

prepped three fun projects for us to make.

The party started off with them showing us how to make the projects.

Here we are having fun working on our projects

and being proud of our creations.

They gave away three raffle prizes.  I was lucky enough to win one of them.

Raedean and Tracey gave me a spiral bound catalog as well as this cute tissue box as a "thank you" for hosting the party.

We ended the party with doing some shopping in the catalog

and enjoying a custard.

I always look forward to having my annual stamp party.  I look forward to seeing what fun items I can earn "thanks" to what my friends have ordered.

One Last Valentine's Day Post

Happy Friday  evening everyone!  I hope that everyone had a good, short week.  Mine was pretty good even though I felt extra tired.  For some reason when I have short work weeks I feel more tired.  I guess it's because there's less time to do everything.  Today I would like to share with you one last post of Valentine's Day goodies.  I shared all the gifts that I made last week with exception of this mail box that I made for one of my good friends.

I had a few mail boxes left from my daughter's day party last month so I thought it would be fun to surprise her with one for one for Valentine's Day.  I cut two the two girls out of Vinyl using my "Car Decal" Cricut cartridge.  I put the envelope with chocolate inside as her mail.  Don't you think that ono and cute mail is the best kind to receive.  :)  Here are two Valentine's Day cards

and a cute pillow box with a gift card holder that I received.

Thanks for coming by to check out what I have to share today.  I'm looking forward to a very nice relaxing weekend.  I hope that all of you will have a relaxing one too

Valentine's Day Week at Work Last Week

It's always nice to have a long weekend, but difficult to get up early to go to work again.  Over the weekend my family celebrated Chinese NY with my hubby's family.  Then we went to Disneyland on Monday to have a fun and relaxing day before going back to work and school yeserday.  Yes, if you've been counting it was our third time going this month.  :)  I hope that whether you had a long weekend or a regular two day one that you had an enjoyable time.  Well, it was extra fun going to work last week because I go to decorate the staff room.  Two other co-workers and I were in charge of bringing snacks last week.  The fun part of it was getting to decorate the staff room to make it festive since it was Valentine's Day week.  It was hard to decide how to decorate the room because I needed things that were fast and simple, but at the same time I wanted it to look nice.  This is what I came up with.

On Valentine's Day I brought in heart shape cookies and had fun displaying it.

Work was not only  more fun because I got to decorate the staff room, but because we had Secret Pals to give gifts to each day.  Here are the gifts that I suprised my Secret Pal with.

On the last day I made  Terry a  purse with a matching card and put a gift card to one of her favorite restaurants.

This is what my Sccret Pal (which just happens to beTerry) gave to me.

I love all the Hello Kitty gifts that I was surprised with.  Valentine's Day is always such a fun time.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

I spent about 8 hours last weekend making Valentine's Day treats for family, friends, and co-workers.  I also put together treats for my daughter's class with a stamped label on it.  I asked my son if he wanted a treat bag for his friends and he said "no."  He is attaching candy to his Valentine's Day cards.  This is what I put together for my Sunday School students.

For some co-workers and friends I wrapped DSP around bags of popcorn

and for others I die cutted and embossed these envelopes for them.

Thanks for my hubby for helping me I was able to make 62 Valentine treats.  It was fun and relaxing making them together, but my bottom and shoulders are a bit sore from working on everything.  For our pre-Valentine's Day date my hubby and I spent the day at Disneyland on Wednesday.  Because it was Valentine's Day yesterday they had a special where different princesses and princes were there along with Mickey and Minnie together and Donald and Daisy together.  We were especially happy to get to take a picture with Belle the the Beast.  (Beauty and the Beast has a special meaning to us because it was on our first date that we saw it together.)

Yesterday we went to "Sesame Grill," one of my favorite restaurants.

I ordered clams and  fillet mignon and lobster.

My hubby had a salad and sea bass.

Our meals were super ono.   To end our dinner on an ono note we had a lovely dessert- chocolate moose and a cream puff.

After dinner we gave our kids their Valentine's Day gifts. I hope that everyone is having or had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

Happy Year of the Snake!

It was the first day of Chinese New Year's yesterday.  According the some of the books I have read I Chinese New Years last for 14 or 15 days.  In honor of Chinese NY my family and I dressed up in our Chinese outfits and wore them to church.  Here is a picture of my hubby and I with our outfits on.  :)

We also gave some of our good friends red packages for their kids and a little gift from us.

We are planning to go give the same goodies with the tags to our families when we have our new years dinners.  We are looking forward to some ono meals at Chinese restaurants to celebrate the new year and of course get to see different family memebers.  As an extra treat to help us bring in the new year we went to Disneyland after church.

It was super cool getting to take a picture with Mickey, Minnie, Mulan, and Mushi. My daughter and I also learned how to ribbon dance.

Have a good week!

A Crafty, Fun, and Ono Weekend

Happy Wednesday!  I'm so sorry that I've been MIA from posting. I was hoping to post some thing on Monday or yesterday after work, but I was just too tired to do anything but relax and watch TV. I did manage to do my 20 minute workout on Monday even though I felt like I was pulling teeth to get myself to do it.   What I've been hoping to post are some pictures from my weekend.  On Saturday my friend Esther and I went to our month quilling class.

Esther and I are holding two of the cards that we made at the class.  Here is the third one.

There is one more card that the instructor prepped for us but we didn't get to it.  That evening we out to dinner with my family and I went out to dinner with my parents, sisters, and BILs to Fish King to celebrate my dad's b-day.  Here is a picture of my sisters and I with my dad.

We all enjoyed our various types of seafood that we ordered.  My BILs ordered raw oysters as an appetizer and offered each of us one.  Since I have never eaten a raw one before I thought it would be fun to try one.

I was a bit hesitant to try it, but finally ate it.  I am glad that I had the opportunity to try one, but I won't be eating another one for awhile.  It was a bit too slimy for my taste.  LOL! My hubby and I shared a 29 piece sushi dinner.

After dinner before leaving the restaurant we sang "Happy Birthday" to my dad as he enjoyed some bread pudding.  We all went to my sister and BIL's house for cake before heading our separate ways.  On Sunday we went to church and ran errands afterwards.  For dinner we went out to dinner with my hubby's family to close the Year of the Dragon.  We went to a Chinese seafood restaurant.  Our favorites were the lobsters dish and fried oyster dish.  We had a double dessert- tapioca pudding and beard and papas.  One of Benson's brothers got the beard and papas for us.  He ordered custard filled ones and chocolate filled ones.  I had the chocolate one.

Next to malasads, beard and papas are my favorite dessert.  Thanks for sticking around to read my long post.  I think having such a busy weekend is taking a toll on me this week.  Getting to bed earlier for the past two nights has helped me recover a bit.
