A Fun Time With a Good Friend and Some Fun Pictures

I hope that all of you had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was pretty nice until I started having a fever.  I have been having a fever off and on today.  I hope and pray that it will go away soon.  Anyways, today I will be sharing with you what my a good friend and I gave to each other when we met up for our monthly lunch together on Friday. Awhile back she purchased a magazine for herself and for me that came with some Hawaiian dies and a stamp set.  We agreed to make some thing for each other using the dies and/or stamps.  I made this card for her

and gave her a mini purse filled with goodies.

I purchased the bag from Daiso and added some Hello Kitty ribbon to it.  This is what she made and surprised me with.

We shared a kale salad

and sword fish with rice.

Before I end this post I wanted to share some fun pictures with you.  On Saturday my family and I went to the Pixar Exhibit at a local museum

and helped Hello Kitty campaign for president.  :)

I hope that all of you will have a wonderful week.

A Bridal Shower and a Fun Weekend

Happy Monday!  I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and is ready to start another week of work.  I had a fun and relaxing weekend with family and friends.  Before I share a few pictures of my weekend I would like to share with you a fun bridal shower that we had at work for my friend Alice.  This is the card that I made for her.  I made the card using the color scheme of her wedding.

Here is bunch of my friends and I with Alice.

My family and my weekend started a little early since my kids got out of school early on Friday and my hubby worked half of the day.  We went out for diem sum

and went hiking afterwards.  On Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch.

Yesterday we went to California Adventure.  It was lots of fun seeing a preview of "Moana"

and "Dr. Strange."  I think  they are going to be a big hit.  Here is picture of Dr. Strange's costume.

We end our time there with having dinner at the Cove Bar.  We had mini sliders,

lobster nachos,

and artichoke dip and chips.

All of it was delicious but my favorite were the sliders.  I hope that all of you will have a blessed week.  Until next week my blogging friends, happy crafting!

A School Themed Swap

Happy Saturday blogging friends!  I hope that you are having a relaxing weekend so far.  Today I will be sharing what I made and received for last month's tea swap.  The optional theme was school/  My good friend Gail and I were paired up.  This is the card that I made for her

along with a book on crocheting animals.  Besides paper crafting she also enjoys crocheting.  She said that when thinks of  the word "school" Fall comes to mind.  I love the beautiful DSP that she used to make this card for me.

Along with card she sent me a fun RAK which included some goodies for my family.  My favorite are the clips with the happy faces on them.

Before I end I would like to share with you a super cute pumpkin shaped like a pumpkin.

I saw it at one of the Disney Hotels.  Can you believe that the whole scene is made out of rice krispy?  It's so amazing! Thanks for stopping by to see what I have been up to.  Have a wonderful weekend!

A Hawaiian Themed Post

Happy October!  Wow!  I can't believe that it's October already.  Just when I thought it was cooling off about a week ago it started heating up again.  It sure has been hot in SoCal.  It definitely does not feel like Fall.  I hope that it cools off soon. Since it still feels like Summer I think sharing a card with a HI theme would fit the weather perfectly.

I gave a friend the card last month when my daughter had a play date with her daughter. Along with the card we gave her one of our favorite HI snacks and a kawaii pencil from HI and some custards.

Before I end I am going to share a picture of my hubby and I at California Adventure on our little date yesterday.  We were there to attend the last week of the Annual Pass Holder event.  It was a bit of a rush for us there, but we are glad that we got in a few rides, had lunch, and went to the event before heading off to pick up our kids from school.  What we wore matches perfectly with my HI theme post today.  :)

It was fun getting to meet Pocahontas.

Have a blessed rest of your weekend!
