A Fun Crafty Winter Post

Today's post is going to have a Winter theme.  First off, here a picture of the "thank you" cards for the Christmas gifts that I received.

Although the stamp set with the hedgehog in it from SU is retired it's still one of my favorite sets.  I  love all my hedgehog stamps!  It's too bad that SU has not made any with hedgehogs for a long time.  I think the only company that has hedgehogs is Penny Black.  I had lots of fun embossing the snowflakes and the snow along with color with my SU Blendabilities and putting Stickles n the snow.  Making this card was very relaxing.  After finishing the "thank you" cards I immediately started thinking of what to make as a gift tag for my daughter's "Frozen" themed b-day party.  I die-cutted and decorated snowflakes and made them into gift tags for the party favor bags.  I attached key rings to the snowflakes so that her friends can put the tags on their back packs.  BTW, I saw the saying "You are snow special" online so I thought it would be fun to write it on the tags.

Here is a picture of the tags on the party favor bags.

Along with making tags I also made toppers for the cupcakes for the party.

Since this poast has a "Winter" theme I thought it would be fun to end my post with a picture of me with Ana an Elsa

and with Olaf.

My family and visited the new "Frozen" area at California Adventure last weekend and loved it.  It was lots of fun meeting Olaf, seeing Ana and Elsa again, playing in the snow,

taking a sketch class to learn how to draw Olaf and a snow monster, and going to the "Frozen" sing along and stage show.  We can't wait to go back again.  Thanks for stopping by!

Dinner With a Good Friend and a Crafty Gift For Her

I am so happy that this is a short work week.  Those of you that had Monday off in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday, I hope that you had a relaxing day and got to do some crafting.  Two weeks ago I had dinner with one of my good friends that is visiting from New York.  We had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Clearmens.  The night before I had dinner with her I made her a bow to put on top of the set of magnets that I got for her her.  (The bow die from My Favorite Things is one of my favorite dies.)

As you can see I also punch used one of my retired stamp sets from Stampin Up to decorate some chocolate covered oreos.  Yes, I am on a roll with them.  :) Here is a picture of my friend Cathy and I

along with our delicious meal.

Cathy and I have known each other for 10 years, but we have only met each other twice.  I know that sounds kind of odd. Although we have only met each other twice we have chatted online, spoken on the phone, and e-mailed each other a million and one times.  When we had a chance to have dinner to together last year, it felt as if we see each other all the time.  We clicked automatically.  It's been such blessing having her a friend.

Mickey, Minnie, Hello Kitty and Much More

One last post to catch up on my swaps. Each month I have enjoyed participating in the swaps, but December is usually my favorite month to make cards, 3D items, etc.  Although it's one of my most busy month's I did have lots of fun making them.  The projects for the swaps are the last crafty items that I made in a Christmas theme.  Of course I worked on them after Christmas.  The optional theme for the tea swap was to make anything other than a card. Brenda and I were paired up as swap partners.  Since she is a huge Disney fan I made her two medallion ornaments and used my punches to make Mickey and Minnie.  As you can see I included tea cookies from Disneyland.

This is the super creative gift that Brenda made for me. She always makes the best books.  She knows how much I love Hello Kitty so of course the book she made for me is done with Hello Kitty theme.    Here is the cover

and two of my favorite pages.

She also included a super cute Hello Kitty box that holds band aids.

For the Secret Sister Swap Annie and I were secret sisters.  I love the card that she made for me and how she decorated the envelope.

I made this gift card/tag holder for her

along with matching oreo chocolate candy nuggets.

I always like to send some thing handmade as well as some crafty products that I purchase.  I sent her some Christmas themed crafty items.  It was lots of fun being swap partners to Brenda and Annie and having them as swap partners.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a blessed rest of your week.

Two Cards and a RAK

Yes, I have two blog posts this week.  Are you surprised? :) Today I will be posting November's Secret Sister Swap. Kathy was my Secret Sister.  Check out the awesome "Fall" card that she made for me

along with the cool RAK that she included.

I was Secret Sister to my friend Karen.  Since we KIT through our e-mails it was a little hard to keep it secret that I am her Secret Sister.  I made a her this card that opens like a door

and sent her a some of her favorite items as a goodies.  It continues to be lots of fun participating in this swap.  It is especially fun to swap with people that I know and am friends with.  Thanks for Kathy for a fun swap.  Karen, I am glad that you like what I made for you and surprised you with.  Have a blessed, fun, and crafty weekend!

Playing Catch Up On Posting Fun Tea Swaps

Happy New Year!  I hope that you are having a great 2015 so far and had some time to do some crafting.  I've been working on "thank you" cards for Christmas gifts and will soon be starting some tags and decorations for my daughter's "Frozen" b-day party. (Stay tune for a picture of them soon.)  With the holidays I've gotten a bit behind in posting pictures of the two swaps that I participate in each month. In the next few posts I will be playing catch up.  Today I would like to post a picture of the tea swap from October and November.  The theme for October was "Fall."  This is what I came up with.

On the back of the pumpkin it's a card.

My tea swap partner made me a beautiful card with a great technique on it, but I can't seem to find the picture on my hard drive it.  So sorry.  For November the theme was to make three Christmas tags. I made tags with a gingerbread theme.

My tea swap partner, Karen made me a variety of things.

Everything she made turned out great.  (Inside the cute little cards she attached tea bags.) Thanks for stopping by today.
