An USC Onesie

A few weeks ago we had a baby shower at work for one of my co-workers.  She is one of the biggest fans I know of USC so I thought it would be fun to make her a USC onesie.  I used two of my Stampin Up embossing folders- the swiss dots one on the onesie and the square lattice one on the collar and on the sleeve.

She loved her and told me that she put it on her refrigerator for everyone that comes over to admire.  Thanks  for dropping by.  Have a fun and crafty weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Tuesday!  I hope that everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend.  Mine was a blast from beginning to end.  The highlights of my weekend was going to Disneyland.  I attended the "All Nighter" event there on Friday to Saturday with my hubby.

We went for 21 hours straight.  It was definitely one of the longest dates we have ever been on and the most fun.  We had a great time riding on rides together, meeting different characters in their PJs at 1 am,

watching a parade at 12:30 am, watch their new stage show (Since we are annual pass holders, we were the first people to get to watch the show.  The show was not open to the public until Saturday.) and enjoying yummy food together.  We went to Disneyland for a second time yesterday this time with our kids.  Yes, we were at Disneyland for a total of 32 hours over the past few days.  The best parts of our visit on Memorial Day was taking a picture with Mike and Sulley from Monsters Inc. (Sulley is the only one that usually walks around.),

going to the Greek Festival where we met Hercules

and took a picture with Mickey wearing a custom from Greece,

and seeing various parts of Disneyland decorated in red, white, and blue to honor the men and woman of the past and those that are currently serving our county.

We felt very fortunate to get to meet the characters that we did and be able to spend a fun filled day together as a family thanks to the freedom that God has given to us through special men and women that serve our county and that have served our country.  Amazingly even though I spent 32 hours at the Happiest Place on Earth I am holding up okay.  My thighs are sore though from walking so much.  With spending so much time a Disneyland I did not have time or the energy to do any crafting all weekend.  I knew that I was not going to be able to do any crafting over the weekend so I did lots of it last week.  Here are two cards that I made with the same layout, but in different colors.

The blue, gray, pink, and blue one is the one that I originally made for last month's tea swap that had the theme "Spring."  I had so much fun making the card that I decided to make one more exactly like it along with one using USC colors.  Thanks for dropping by.  Please drop by again soon.  Until then happy crafting!

Crafty B-day Gifts

I hope that everyone  had a good weekend and is having a good week so far.  It was a very relaxing one for me for my family and I which is very nice.  It was nice to be able to hang out at home, do chores, and of course craft. Stay tune for a picture soon of the b-day cards that I made.  For today I would like to share with you three final pictures of from of what I received for my b-day last month.  Yes, I am a little behind in posting pictures. I received many generous and cute gifts, but these are crafty creations that I received from two friends.  One friend decorated this cute gift bag for me

along with these sakura themed gifts.

Another friend made these this this Hello Kitty box.

Check out how awesome the box looks opened.

I always feel very blest to have such creative friends.  They never cease to amaze me with their talent.  :)

Many Fun and Creative Birthday Cards

Celebrating our b-days in my family is always lots of fun and  lasts for about a month or so.  This includes lots of fun with family and friends, thoughtful gifts, lots of ono food, and of course lovely and heartfelt cards.  Here are the crafty cards that I received from some very creative and talented friends. (Since this is a craft blog, I will only be posting the handmade cards that I received. Of course this does not mean that I am not very appreciative of the store bought cards that I received.)

The last card that I will be posting is partially handmade.  My friend added a cake to this cute HK card that she purchased.

I like all the cards that I received, but these were my favorite since they are from my kids.

I haven't been in the mood to craft all week, but after posting these awesome cards has inspired me to do some crafting.  I'm looking forward to making some fun cards this evening and this weekend.  :)  I hope that all of you will have some time to craft this weekend too.

A Memorable Mother's Day

I hope that all of you grandmother's, mothers, godmothers, aunties, teachers, mentors, counselors, and friends out there had a special time being honored this weekend.  I definitely had a blessed time and lots of fun.  It started off by my family and I celebrating Mother's Day early at Disneyland on Friday after our kids go out of school.

It was very nice celebrating Mother's Day there with three of my favorite people.   Ending a busy and stressful week there definitely helped me to relax.  On Saturday my family prepped for Mother's Day by running errands to finish getting gifts and making tags with our kids's on them to attach to the gifts.  We put a picture of my kids on one side of the scallop circle that we die cutted  with my Big Shot and on the other side we xeroxed a message from my kids.  Since we gave quiet few gifts, it would have taken forever for them to write each tag.  They took turns writing on every other line.

Sunday was a long, fun, ono, and very memorable day.  I thank the Lord for all the extra love my hubby and my kids gave to me today and for their thoughtful and generous gifts.

At worship all the mothers were not only honored with a corsage, but also a chocolate covered strawberry.

It was also very nice getting to have lunch with my side of the family after church.  Here is a picture of my two sisters and I with my mom.

It's an annual tradition for us to go out for sushi on Mother's Day.  Check out all the ono food that we ordered.

After lunch we had some fun shopping at Little Tokyo.  Then went home to relax a bit before going out to dinner with my hubby's side of the family.  We wen to a Chinese seafood restaurant.  Here are there of the dishes that we order- fried intestines (It sounds gross, but it tasted pretty good.),

fried fish,

and steamed clams.

My favorite were between the fried intestines and fried fish.  I especially liked the fish eggs in the fish.  I hope that all of you had as wonderful of a Mother's Day as I did.  Thanks for stopping by.  Please stop by again soon for post with a lot more crafting in it.

A Special Mother's Day Message

Lots of hugs and love to all of the wonderful ladies out there that are grandmothers, mothers, aunties, sisters, best friends/friends, counselors, mentors, counselors, and teachers to others. All of you deserve to be honored especially this weekend as we celebrate Mother's Day. Thank you for all that you have done to touch our lives and all the lives of those that God has placed in your lives. May God bless each of you in a very special way and help you to continue to make a difference in the lives of those that you interact with. Happy Mother's Day and God bless always!

Quilling and More Celebrating

This weekend I attended a monthly quilling class at a local craft store.  We made this awesome project- an acetate card box with cards inside.

Afterwards I went out to lunch with my friend Esther.  We both ordered wraps.  She ordered the spicey one.

These are the fun projects that we gave to each other.  I made her this purse and

she made me these.

This weekend I also had my second to the last celebration for my b-day this year. It was lots of fun spending time with 4 of my friends,

enjoying a nice Hawaiian meal,

and crafting together.

It was the same as last month's b-day get together except what we ordered for dinner (Last month we ordered a BBQ combo plate lunch and this time we ordered a chicken and beef plate lunch.) and the cake (Last month we ordered a mango cake and this month was a tiramisu cake.) that we enjoyed.  We took a picture together before they sang "Happy Birthday" to me.

I didn't know that my nickname is "Tiramisu." :)  When I first peaked into the box of the cake I thought my hubby picked up someone elses cake by accident since I only had a glimpse of what they wrote on the top.  It was interesting that the bakery wrote "Tiramisu" on the top and wrote my name and "Happy B-day" on the side of the cake.

Even though it was very similar to last month's get together I had just as much fun as last month.  I thank the Lord for the friends that He has blest me with and am grateful to get to celebrate my b-day with some of them.
