Time at Disneyland and Some Crafty Gifts/Cards

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.  Here is a little glimpse of it in a nutshell.  Mine was a very nice one with it starting off with having a Hawaiian style breakfast with made by my hubby.  We invited my parents over to join us for breakfast.  After breakfast we opened presents.  My hubby and I took a nap while my parents and kids played together.  For dinner we went to my cousin's house.  It was nice to see our aunts, uncles, and cousins.  The most memorable part of this year was fitting all 24 members of my family on my cousin's staircase for a family photo.  That was awesome!  Well, now that Christmas is over I am still enjoying myself since I have some time off from work.  Yesterday my family and I went to Disneyland with my cousins that are visiting from Seattle.

Disneyland is always lots of fun to visit, but yesterday was a little less fun since it was so crowded.  It took us an hour to get into the parking lot and even had to line up for about 15 minutes to get into the amusement park.  They told us that by noon that if we did not enter the parks prior to 8 am that morning that they would not letting any more guests in since it reached it's maximum capacity of guest.  We are grateful that we were able to stay since we arrived in time.  We stayed 17 fun pack hours riding rides, having a fun time of fellowship, and eating delicious food.  :)

My family and I missed eating the turkey legs since we our annual passes expired in April.  It was very nice to get to sink my mouth into a turkey leg yesterday.  Before ending my post for today, I would like to share some fabulous crafty items that I received for Christmas.

It's always a blessing to receive gifts and cards, but I think it's a little more special when they are handmade.Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Merry Christmas!

Warm Christmas greetings from my heart to yours!  Today I would like to share with you a picture of my Christmas tree with our Hawaiian ornaments.

Here are two picture of some of my favorite ones.

Here are a few of our other decorations around the house

and outside.

Before ending this post I would like to wish Jesus a very "Happy Birthday!"

We all sang "Happy Birthday" to him with a cake and a candle on it.  I hope that and pray that all of you will have a wonderful and memorable time celebrating CHRISTmas with family and friends.  God bless!

Two Fun Christmas Parties

I can't believe that it will be Christmas in one day.  It arrived so fast this year.  Well, today I would like to share with you some pictures of the fun Christmas party I have attended so far.  The first one I went to was at church for the department that my hubby and I serve in.  We each paid $2 for lunch and was asked to bring fruits, drinks, or dessert.  The main dishes were ordered from a Chinese restaurant.  It was the best $2 meal we ever had.  Besides the Chinese food being very good the dessert was pretty yummy too.  The biggest hit was the chocolate cherrio treats (It's very similar to rice crispys.).

We also had a gift exchange and was asked to purchase a gift that is worth no more than $1.  Some people spent a little more than that though.  Each year I try to be creative to make a gift card holder with a dollar bill inside.  This is what I made.

Here is the inside.

My hubby gave a super size cup of noodle for his gift.  I think people liked mine the most since it was "stolen" twice.  This is what my hubby received- 3 origami baskets with Bible verses of the Christmas story.  Inside each basket was a candle.

This is what I "stole" from the gift exhange.  :)

The second Christmas party was at work.  We were asked to bring a dessert or a drink along with a $10 gift card.  The lunch was catered by an Italian restaurant.  I made this gift card holder and got a gift card to Paneras.

Check out the super cool gift card and box that I received it in.  I can't wait to enjoy some donuts or a sandwich at Rose's soon.

Lastly I would like to share with you the beautiful centerpiece that one of my co-workers made.  I was fortunate enough to get to take one home with me.  :)

Okay, time to end for now to finish making some tags and wrapping presents for tomorrow's family get togethers.   Have fun everyone!

Quality Time With Friends

This time of year is not only lots of fun because it's Jesus' B-day, but also because I have a little more time to hang out and catch up with friends.  I am very grateful to God for the friends that He has placed in my life and am thankful for the opportunity that He gave to me this week to hang out with four of them.  This week after work two co-workers/friends and I went out for appetizers.

We ordered this huge sampler appetizer which includes popcorn chicken, pork chops, a salad, and french fries.  The salad was my favorite.  It has a very light dressing along with lettuce, raisens, and different fruits.

This morning I went out to breakfast with two friends at a place called Paris Baguette.

Check out some of their super yummy and cute pastries and cakes.

Since I don't have anything crafty that I've made to share today, I thought that you'd like to see the pictures of the cakes and pastries that I took pictures of this morning.  Those goodies are the crafty portion of my post for today.

Stamp Club This Month

I attend a stamp club each month where each person takes turns being the hostess.  The hostess gets to earn goodies from Stampin Up based on much everyone orders.  The hostess is charge of bringing snack.  This month  Marie was the hostess.  Check out the yummy snack that she brought for us.

Some people in the club made Chirstmas gifts.

Check out this beautiful scarf that one of the ladies made.  She made a variety of colors and let each of us pick the color that we wanted.  Of course I picked the purple one- my favorite color.

For my gifts I made calendars and covered them with SU DSP.

I also made tags.

Before ending my post for today I wanted to share two additional pictures with you.  The first one is of my hubby and I at the Donna and Marie Christmas concert that we went to on Friday.  It was awesome!

I btw, was one of their biggest fans when I was little.  I remember having posters of them on my wall in my bedroom, had many of their albums, and even had a guitar with their picture on it.  LOL!  The second and last picture of one of my good friends and I at the Guppy House in Temple City.  Both of our families went there for dinner last night.  Here we are enjoying a peanut butter brick toast for dessert.

Thanks for sharing part of your day with me to see what I have to share.  :)

Some Thing Speical For A Co-Worker and Friend

A week ago one of the secretaries at work retired.  She has only been gone for a week and we all miss her so much already.  I got a little gift for her to enjoy as she retires and included this card that I made.

As a tradition, I have takem a picture with each co-worker/friend that retired.  Here is a picture of Jerri and I.

Jerri is the fourth person this year that retired.  I alwyas have mixed feelings when people retire.  On one hand I am happy for them, but on the other hand I am a bit sad too since I will miss them.  Things are never quite the same when a staff member and friend leaves.

A Fun, Filled Weekend

It's seems like all the weekends this month have been lots of fun.  I think it's always great to be able to do a little bit of different activities on the weekend and still have enough time and energy to craft.  This weekend started off with attending a monthly quilling class. Before the class, my good friend Esther and I went out to lunch.

We both ordered the same thing- a delicious cheese burger.

As usual we surprised each other with a RAK.   I made this snowman for her

and she made this easel calendar card for me.

These are the cute bears that we quilled.  Can you believe that the entire bear is made out of strips of paper?

In the evening my hubby and I went to a Hawaiian concert with our good friend John.  We all ordered different sushi rolls.  All of them were pretty good, but I think the what my hubby ordered, the lotus roll  looked the best.

It was awesome to get to watch our favorite Hawaiian artist, Keali'i Reichel perform.  As usual we loved it!
Not only did we get to hear him sing some our favorite songs, but we got to meet him and get his autograh.

We had seen him in concert many times, but have never had the prilege of meeting him.  That was super cool!  We felt like teenagers again.  :)   We ended our weekend by putting up lights on our house outside and putting up our Christmas tree.  My hubby and I  were a little later in putting everything up this year, but are glad that we finally had a chance to.  I hope that that all of you are having a good time prepping for CHRISTmas.
