Some Fun Cards, Products, and Ono Food

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend.  It has been a very nice weekend for my family and I.  Before I share a few pictures of our weekend I would like to share with you the tea swap cards for last month.  The optional theme was to use geometric shapes and the optional color was to use green.  The theme stumped me again this month.  Usually the themes don't stump me, but for some reason they have for the past two months.  LOL!  Anyways, after much thought, looking online, and looking at old samples of cards this is what I came up with for my swap partner Mary.

This is the card that Mary sent to me.  I really like all the colors that she used and all the bling and the detail.

Okay, onto sharing a little bit about my weekend.  This weekend marks the beginning of my the festivities to celebrate my b-day.  Yesterday my hubby and I went on at "date" to the Cherry Blossom Festival.  It did not have as many vendors as it did a few years when we went, but we still had fun eating pancakes with mochi inside.

Here we are each enjoying one.

We also had fun doing some shopping

and seeing the taiko drum performance.

Here are some of the fun products that I purchased.

Last night I went out to dinner with my immediate family, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  My aunt and uncle took us to one of my favorite restaurants- Green Street. I ordered an ono seared ahi burger with coleslaw.

Today my immediate family and I will be celebrating together with a movie and dinner.  We are going to watch "Captain America" and enjoy some Mediterranean food.  I love kabobs!  Stay tune for more pictures of my b-day festivities and some fun cards that I received.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter!

I hope that everyone had a blessed time celebrating Easter today.  My family and I had a wonderful time celebrating that "Jesus is Risen!"  To celebrate this special holiday we gave family and friends different gifts.  I made this treat for friends at work and at church.  I used the new scallop tag punch from SU to make it as well as two of my new Easter stamps and a scallop embossing folder.

I put a chocolate bunny treat in each one.

We gave chocolate crosses to some friends as well as my kids Sunday School teachers.  I used my "He is Risen" stamp and inked it up in a rainbow pad.  Then I cut it out using one of my Spellbinder dies.

I decorated some giant plastic eggs and put a stamp, a cross decoration, etc. in them.

Here is a picture of crosses that we purchased.

Last but not least I was asked to make a tag to hang to the Easter basket the kids in my Sunday School department made.  Here is a picture of some of the baskets with the tag on it.

It's always such a blessing to get to surprise different people with gifts especially when crafting and/or stamping is involved in putting some of them together. Thanks for stopping by to see what I  have to share.  Have a wonderful week!

Our Time in San Francisco

My family and I just got back from a 5 day trip to beautiful San Francisco.  While we were there we got to do all the fun tourists activities. We did lots of walking, sightseeing, shopping, eating, and got to visit some fun museums.   Amongst all the fun that we had our favorites were visiting the Japanese Tea Garden and seeing the beautiful cherry blossoms,

walking the Golden Gate Bridge,

eating at Gridz (our all time HI restaurant) (We love their chicken and raffles and chocolate haulpia pie.  Their raffles have spam and cheese in it.),

enjoying a sundae at Gharadelli Square,

lunch and green tea with honey and orange (I will have to try to make this at home.  It's super ono!),

and shopping in Japantown (They have the best store there with super cute products.).

Stay tune for the fun items that I purchased  in my next post.  We also got to visit Benson's friend from college and her family.

We enjoyed some gourmet pizza together for dinner and had ice cream and mango cake for dessert.
We also got to see one of my good friends and her hubby.

We ate dinner at a Japanese restaurant and enjoyed eggots

and ice cream for dessert.  My hubby ordered lychee ice cream and I had pineapple coconut ice cream.

We never had eggots before.  They are the texture and tastes like pancakes.  The ice cream parlor they took us to had the best flavors.

I  have never seen these flavors before at home.  Wish we had a place that sold eggots and have these ice cream flavors.  We got gifts for both of our friends.  We gave Benson's friend family a gift along with this card.  They love Hawaii just like we do.

We gave my good friend and her hubby a gift too along with a card.  (I decorated a notebook for my friend and gave her some magnetic sheets to put her dies on.) Like Benson's friend and her family they like Hawaii too.  LOL!

This is what Benson's friend gave to us

and what my friend gave to us. Check out the cute packages of seaweed with Hello Kitty on them.

My family and I feel so blest to be able to have our vacation in SF and be able to meet up with our friends.  We are all exhausted from our trip in SF, but we can't wait to go back again one day soon.

What Better Way is There to Spend a Saturday

Happy April everyone!  April is one of my favorite month's.  I get to have a week off from work.  Several of my good friends' b-days are this month too.  In a few weeks I also get to visit with two good friends that do not live in SoCal.  What is your favorite month?  Today I would like to share some pictures of a class that I took at a local scrapbook store back in February.  Taylor from Taylorsexpressions was teaching the class.  I used to take classes with her once a month when she lived in SoCal.  Since she moved I have not taken any classes with her so it was an extra special treat to get to take her class and see her again.  Before all the fun started I took a picture with her.

Here are two of my friends and I having lots of fun making our cards.

Before leaving I gave Taylor a little treat.  Previous to the class I asked her what her favorite candy is so I could surprise her with a special treat.  I made put a band to hold the two packages of Skittles together and made a flower to put on top of it.

After class, my friend Esther and I went out for sushi.

This is what Esther ordered.

and what I ordered.

We had an ono time and a sweet time of fellowship together.  There's no better way of spending a Saturday than having some time to craft with good friends and enjoying some good food with them.  :)
