Happy Year of the Rooster!

Sorry that I have been MIA for a bit with blogging.  It has been very busy lately with work, family, etc.  I am thankful to get back into the swing of things today with having some time to post.  Today I would like to share with you what I made for Chinese New Year for family and friends. Every year I order a stamp from Dandelion Designs with the zodiac character for the year and me a candy pouch with lucky candy in it.

This year I also made a tag with the stamp that I ordered.

I am going to attach the tag to a bag of our favorite Hawaiian cookies.

My family and I are going to pass them out during our Chinese New Year celebration with my family.  Before I end this post I wanted to share a few pictures of the fun that we had during the Chinese New celebration at California Adventure.  Here is a picture of the time my hubby and I went there when it was raining. (It was our first time going in the rain and probably our last.  It was not very fun even though it was not that crowded.  It did not feel good with my hair flat and my hands being cold from holding an umbrella.)

We went a second time with our kids.  Thankfully it was not raining that day.  We waited in line for 3 hour to take a picture with Mickey and Minnie

and enjoyed some delicious Asian food.

A yam macaroon and a turnip cup.

Fried fish (This was my favorite.)

We also got to watch some fun performances and a parade.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend!
