A Good Friend's Birthday and Playing Secretary

One of my good friends at work is celebrating her birthday today.  For her birthday some friends and I chipped in and ordered some cupcakes for her from Dots. They have the prettiest and more delicious cupcakes.  I made her a card with a cupcake on it for all of us to sign.  (Oops!  I downloaded the card with the cherry before I colored it.)

We surprised her with the cupcakes at lunch time.

Celebrating Mother's Day

I am so sorry that I have been MIA for a bit.  Work has been busy and my weekends have been packed with different outings of which I will share with you soon.  I hope that all of you had a lovely Mother's Day weekend. Even if you are not a mother you deserved to be honored by all those young men and ladies that you have worked with and made a different in the lives of.  Mine was nice and memorable full of lots of onolicious food.  In honor of Mother's Day my family and I gave gifts to our various ladies in our lives in and outside and of our family that have played a significant role in our lives.  I made these tags

and attached them to a bag of tea bags that we purchased. The tags say "Have a tea-riffic Mother's Day!" Along with the tea bags we gave each person shortbread to enjoy with their tea.

Here are some of the delicious food that we enjoyed.  This is from a Korean restaurant that specializes in garlic glazed chicken that I went to with my hubby and kids.

My Birthday Month

Last month was my birthday month.  My birthday month is always so much fun with lots of good food and thoughtful gifts.  This year I got to have two fancy dinners with my hubby- one at a local steak house and one at California Adventure.  I also had dinner with my immediate family, my parents, one of my sisters, and my cousin, and with some friends.  Additionally I got to celebrate with my family and good friends at Disneyland.  It has truly been a memorable time with family and friends.  I thank the Lord for blessing me with such awesome people in my life. As a "thank you" to different friends I made these magnets

and attached them to some the newest flavors of M&Ms. (My favorite out of the three new flavors is the expresso one.)  

Some of the magnets I have tea bags in the background and some of them have coffee beans.  The background that each person got depends on what each friend likes- tea or coffee. Of course I added googly eyes to the cups.  Googly eyes are now my favorite things to use.  I think they always add a cute finishing touch to my projects.  Here is a picture of a group of friends that I had lunch with
