July's Tea Swap and Time in San Diego

Hope that this post is finding everyone doing well as summer will soon be coming to an end.  Summer has been way too much for my family and I to see it come to an end.  LOL!  We thank the Lord for all the special memories that we have had the past few months with family and friends doing various fun things.  At this end of this post I will share a few pictures of one of the fun things.  Before I do that I will share about last month's tea swap. I was paired up with my dear friend Dori.  I made this donut shaped card for her.

To make the card I used two different size circles, made the sprinkles using a small window punch from Stampin Up, and created the bite out of the donut using the scallop punch.  I fussy cut the chocolate frosting. To finish off the donut with a little cuteness I put googly eyes and a mouth on it. These are the goodies that I surprised her with.

Dori made this cute card for me

and sent me a very generous RAK (I am so sorry that the post-it in the picture is upside down.  I was in a bit of a rush to take the picture.  LOL!)

It was a pleasure as usual having a friend as my tea swap partner.  As this post comes to an end I would like to share some fun and beautiful pictures of our trip to San Diego last weekend.  We enjoyed God's beautiful creation,

ate lots of yummy food (We enjoyed dragon fruit shave ice with a drizzle of honey, a waffle ice cream sandwich, and some macroons.)

and did some shopping. Two of my favorite stores that we went to was Marukai (The one in SD is much better than the one we have at home.) and

Papetales,

We all wish we could still be there. I hope that you enjoyed what I have to share with you in this post.  Have a blessed Sunday and a wonderful upcoming week.  Until next time, take care!

  1. You and Dori sure had a fun and creative swap. That was a cute idea to fussy cut the frosting and add a face to your donut. CUTE!!! What a gorgeous picture of the sunset....so beautiful. The dragon fruit shave ice looks so yummy and refreshing. Nice way to cool of with the summer heat. Wish we had that flavor here in Hawaii.
