In Honor Of Easter

Easter is one of my favorite holidays because it reminds me of the great sacrifice Jesus did for all of us so that we can have hope and a future if we believe in Him.  Because the holiday means so much to me I like to make various things to celebrate it and give to family and friends.  Here are the few things that I made this year.  In the first set of pictures is an oval that I die-cutted to make an egg and I decorated it with putting a die-cutted cross in the middle along with chocolate crosses, a cross tin with jelly beans (The different color jelly beans represent the different steps of the Wordless Book which is used to help people become a member of God's family.  Black stands for sin.  Red stands for Jesus's blood.  White stands for Jesus's blood washing out sins away after we confess them and ask Him into our heart. Green stands growing in our faith after we become a member of God's family.  Gold stands for Heaven.  When we become a member of His family we are able to go to Heaven. If you are confused about what I am writing about or would like more information please let me know.), and two different Easter baskets (The second basket has Mickey shaped head on it.).

I purchased erasers shaped like a carrot from the dollar section at Target and made them into magnets.  The bigger carrots are from dollar tree.  I put a bunny ring inside and filled them with chocolate eggs.  For the smaller carrots I wrote on a label either "God carrots for you" or "Some bunny carrots for you.  I wrote one of the sayings on the back of the big carrots.  Of course I put googley eyes on both kinds of carrots. I love googley eyes!

Before ending this post I would like to share some the fun stuffed animals my daughter and I purchased.

Aren't all of them just too cute. Of course we couldn't pass up getting the "Peeps" Oreos. Have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Easter!  Until next time, happy crafting and God bless!

  1. You sure created some beautiful Easter crafts for your family and friends. Love how you explained the meaning of the different colors of the jelly beans. Cute quotes on the carrots too. Made me smile. Your house must be filled with lots of stuffed animals. Does Kylie have a bookshelf filled with them?
